Kamala Harris Is a Communist; Telling People That Changes No Minds

There is ample, in fact, overwhelming evidence that Kamala Harris is a communist. She never uses the word, but articulates the principles all the time.

She spends a lot of time talking about "equity," and has defined it as equality of outcomes. She is for the government takeover of entire industries. It's hard to find any daylight between what she has articulated in the past and what communists promote.

It's not a surprise. Her father was a Marxist professor at Stanford

It doesn't matter, though, if you want to persuade people not to vote for Kamala Harris. Despite the obvious fact that communism has been the most destructive ideology in history, resulting the deaths of far more people than Nazism, young people are much more likely to have a positive view of communism or socialism, and even most people who have a negative view of one or both tend to be skeptical about claims that anybody actually is one unless they openly proclaim it.

Kamala Harris will never openly proclaim she is a communist. That's just a fact. I wish it weren't, but it is.

Heck, during the Obama administration, CIA Director John Brennan admitted that he voted Communist, and it had no impact on his ability to assume that job; make no mistake, even though he denied he still was a communist, look at his record and tell me he would have done much different if he still were one.

The problem is that in the 1950s, anti-communism was unfairly discredited. The Alger Hiss case and especially Joe McCarthy left a bad taste in the mouths of the American people, and Hollywood turned anti-anti-communists into folk heroes. Even the communist ones were lionized, and the residue of that dominates Americans' minds to this day.

People look back at that time and see a witchhunt, and to be fair, there was more than a little of that at times. McCarthy may have been right about a lot of what he said, but he was a terrible messenger for anti-communism and is now considered a modern-day inquisitor.

I remember when I was in college and then teaching a professor who was a proud and open communist in the History department of my college. He was genuinely dispirited by the fall of the Soviet Union and openly so. He even idolized Stalin.

He was well-respected there. Really. Despite his love for Stalin and Mao.

It didn't matter. Anti-communism is, unfairly, the demonized ideology. You can be a wealthy Marxist and be well-loved in America. Anti-communists are, believe it or not, considered "weird." People assume that calling somebody a communist is merely an insult, not an accurate description.

I bring this all up to warn you: with people who don't already suspect Kamala Harris of being a communist, you will almost certainly not persuade them that she is and that they should worry about that. Just as nobody worried that John Brennan was a communist, It just doesn't resonate with most people unless they deduce it themselves.

You can, of course, talk about her policies, which are generally unpopular. It's why she is revising them rapidly, disavowing proposals she held until yesterday. Like all communists, she is a liar. So you have to show the evidence, and there is plenty of it. Nobody wants to give up meat and have their stuff redistributed. Distribution of government largesse by race is unpopular.

But don't call her a communist to somebody undecided about whom to vote for. It won't work.

I'm sorry that is true because communists are evil, and she is a communist. But these are the facts of life.
