First Time Ever? 90 Actresses Turn Down Roles in Play Attacking J.K. Rowling

I guess there really IS a first time for everything.

Generally speaking, producers are forced to turn away scores of actors and actresses begging for roles in a production.

But for this play the opposite is true: scores of women are turning down the roles of playing J.K. Rowling and Emma Watson in a play that attacks the author as a transphobe.

The play, originally called TERF C**t portrays a fictional intervention of the Harry Potter actors staging an "intervention" to get Rowling to recant her gender-critical views.

No actresses want to touch the roles with a 10-foot pole, perhaps because they agree with Rowling, or perhaps because they are afraid that their participation in the play won't age well as views on gender issues shift rightward.

A play that criticises JK Rowling’s views on gender is struggling to cast women with 90 actresses so far rejecting parts.

The stage production, which is set to debut at the Edinburgh Fringe, has already caused outrage over a working title which labelled the gender-critical Harry Potter author a c----.

The production is yet to cast any of the female roles, including that of Rowling herself.

The part of Harry Potter film star Emma Watson has also been repeatedly turned down, and around 90 actresses have refused to take part in the project amid concerns over its critique of Rowling.

The author has become a figure of hate online among some activists, and received death threats after publicly sharing concerns about the encroachment of transgender campaigning on women’s rights.

Actors have been found for male leads, who will portray Harry Potter cast members Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe.

You know you have a loser of a play if 90 actresses turn down the roles.

90. Imagine not being able to get one person to say yes out of 90 aspiring actresses.

As you may recall, the actors whom Rowling made famous and rich turned on her, and Rowling was snubbed in a retrospective on her own works. Because she believes men are men and women are women.

I can't imagine why any woman wouldn't want to appear in a play that calls Rowling a c**t. You would think that they would get credit for being stunning and brave, which are the codewords for disgusting and self-absorbed used by the left.

“It’s a well-paid gig meeting industry standards and the script is terrific.”

He added:  “I think it’s fair to say that a few things are coming into play in casting.”

Harry Potter stars Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe have all criticised JK Rowling over transgender issues

The play, which was written by queer-identifying Hollywood scriptwriter Joshua Kaplan, tells the story of a fictional intervention staged for Rowling by the stars of the Harry Potter franchise, Watson, Grint and Radcliffe.

The three actors publicly denounced Rowling in 2020 when she first raised concerns about the spread of gender ideology, the belief that gender is unfixed and changes according to how people self-identify.

The "cancellation" of J.K. Rowling has been a bust, partly because she refuses to be canceled or to apologize, and partly because canceling a billionaire with a fanatical audience of hundreds of millions is too big a task.

Some people are uncancelable, thank God.
