They have invented one in which they are the only good guys, vast numbers of people need Democrats to tell them how to live, and anybody who disagrees with them is Hitler.

Imagine living in a world where cartoon characters like Klaus Schwab are well-respected. One where telling people they should eat bugs instead of beef is a good idea. Or one where solar panels will replace nuclear reactors and natural gas plants.
Or one in which sex is "assigned at birth" rather than determined by your genes and genitals.

One of the striking things about the liberals you see in power is that they are, to a great extent, stupid and disconnected from reality. That's not to say that all liberals are stupid--far from it. There are tons of super-smart leftists who create the narratives that the MSM and the liberal politicians parrot. Barack Obama was smart, regardless of his other flaws.
But think about it: Joe Biden has never been bright, now he has pudding for brains, and he is the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.
Kamala Harris is Vice President. Gretchen Whitmer is the governor of Michigan. Kathy Hochul is the governor of New York. Gavin Newsom is the governor of California. Maxine Waters is a top-ranking Democrat in Congress. AOC is a leader of the progressive wing.
These people range from dimwits to midwits. How often are their handlers cringing when they hear them speak?

What binds them all together is a commitment to a narrative--one they need not understand. It is handed to them, and when they go off script, the dimwits utter nonsense like Hochul's.
Not that it matters, of course, because they own the cultural means of production in the MSM, and they bury the gaffes when they can.
Imagine every Black Democrat being confronted by Hochul's casual slurs against their intelligence. Surely if a Republican said something remotely close, it would be blasted on every TV for days or months. But the MSM and the Establishment just brush this under the rug and do cleanup on Aisle 3.
In many ways, I would rather deal with the evil geniuses behind the dimwitted frontmen who know nothing about what the real world looks like or how it works. Hochul actually believes what she said there--there is no political benefit to uttering something so stupid and offensive.
She simply has no clue at all.
It would be less exhausting, for one thing. Arguing with stupid people is like wrestling with a pig: “Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty and the pig likes it.”
At least with the evil geniuses, you don't have to explain to them that in 2024, everybody knows what a computer is, including toddlers.
