Famed artist Hunter Biden's latest sets off furor

The smartest man Joe Biden has ever met seems equally adept at making illicit money and stirring up controversy.

But fear not, he is likely to never pay a price for either. He lives a charmed life. When he rots his teeth out through meth abuse he gets caps; when his laptop reveals all his dirty secrets and naughty bits he gets cover from the Intel community and the media; and when he needs cash for more hookers and blow, his father wires it to him. After all, Hunter always has a scheme to hoover up more cash in the future, so no loss.

It’s a charmed life, if not an attractive one. I still labor under the illusion that despite all the evidence, the good life is somehow tied to virtue and decency.

I bring up Hunter for two reasons. First, the House Republicans have made clear that investigating Hunter’s laptop is a super high priority for them. This, I think, is a mistake.

Making it a priority–that’s fine. Saying it is a priority, though, is stupid. As much as people who voted for Republicans to take over expected them to hound the president with investigations, I suspect that most would prefer that their highest priority would be saving the country from swirling down the toilet, as it appears to be. The menu should emphasize the bone-in ribeye, not the asparagus.

To be fair, there is only so much the Republicans can do besides hound Joe Biden. Holding one house in the legislature is not exactly being at the commanding heights of power. They are more in a position to defend than advance. But Republicans should at least look like they are trying, while simultaneously holding the president’s feet to the fire.

Leading with the investigation is a tactical mistake. Doing it is a practical necessity.

Be that as it may, the announcement is out there. I think they should have waited, but I am not the genius who barely squeaked them into a thin majority with a hated president running the country into the ground.

The other story that has me ranting about Hunter came out a day or two, and was revealing about how things work in the real world when you are a member of the real protected class: the Establishment™.

Hunter, famed artist and charmed-life man, appeared on a Twitter Spaces Live broadcast and it did not go well at all. Hunter rhapsodized about how much he loved art and how meaningful it was to his life (he is making millions selling his crap, so I bet!), and having a fine ol’ time. Until he just quit the live interview, or at least appeared to.

Hunter’s discussion of his passion for art was quite moving. I teared up.

I’ve always been an artist from the time I’ve been a child, and I think it’s always been the center of my life,’ Biden said. ‘Not until recently have I been able to devote the entirety of my day to art.’

‘Art was always a part of me and something that I’ve always practiced but never been able to devote eight hours a day to it like I have for the past three years.’

Biden said he sees art as being a form of meditation but shared he got into NFTs because of the joy in creating digital art. Biden hasn’t sold any NFTs.

Hunter’s meditation practices are interesting, but the host got annoyed when Biden apparently just disappeared. It was clear that ol’ Hunter didn’t actually know anything about crypto and NFTs, and now the guest just up and disappeared after blathering about meditation.

Annoyed is not the right word. He was downright angry because Biden simply rambled on about himself and then abruptly left.

Hunter Biden’s interview on a Twitter Spaces live broadcast devolved into chaos after he was apparently disconnected from the line, and the host launched into a rant about his hands being “tied” on what he was allowed to ask the president’s son.

Hunter Biden appeared on “The Crypto Roundtable Show” with host Mario Nawfal on Tuesday, the day of the week the host typically reserves for topics related to NFTs (non-fungible tokens). Biden, however, had very little commentary to offer on NFTs or cryptocurrency.

I am surprised Hunter wasn’t massively into crypto, given how much crypto king Sam Bankman-Fried donated to his father and the Democrats to help them get elected. Crypto has been very good to the Bidens, but maybe talking about it right after the collapse of FTX was bad timing. So spiritual matters had to fill the time.

The host of the show was more than a bit ticked that Hunter just jumped off and let slip quite a few embarrassing bits about the rules of the interview.

“They just jumped off now,” he said. “So, that gives you an idea of how – behind the scenes, that was tough. … There was a lot of requirements we had to meet. F— that was so stressful. That was so f—ing stressful, man.”

“There’s a lot of stories that I wasn’t aware of that kind of made this significantly more tricky and delicate,” he continued.

“Usually, I’m very open, I ask questions, I debate,” he added. “It’s like a free mic, anyone could ask any questions. We always let debates happen. But this is the first time where we, like, kind of f—ing hands tied: ‘These are the questions you ask. You can’t ask any other questions.’ And, bro, it was difficult.”

“My fault was to accept any guests, I don’t care if it’s a president next time, any guests that comes on, that’s my rule moving forward as of today,” he said. “Any guest that comes on from now on has to be ready to be able to answer any f—ing question we want to ask – no pre-packed questions.”

Hunter and company quickly fired back at the host, claiming that they didn’t bail on the show, the connection was cut. So shut up about the behind-the-scenes wrangling! Nobody needs to know that everything was staged.

When dealing with the Elite™, even in settings that are meant to appear free flowing and natural it is all staged. Both the questions and the answers are scripted. And because he revealed the truth the host was forced to apologize to Biden. Nobody was supposed to know that this “free wheeling” discussion was supposed to be staged from start to finish.

Very little of what we are allowed to see is real, if it touches The Narrative™. And more and more things are being pulled into the Narrative™, creating a totalitarian picture of the world.

Hunter Biden is an artist, not a political figure. Uh huh. All those millions and billions he has had flow through his fingers were utterly unrelated to his connections, and 10% for the big guy was referring to tithing for the Church. He may even paint some angels or something for the Big Guy.

Yep. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Now, back to investigating that laptop.
