We’ve been hearing about the turnaround in al-Anbar for months now. Rep. Steve King (R-IA) described walking down the street and shopping in the Ramadi market when we interviewed him a few months back. Though liberals still deny that it’s happening at all, the Anbar Awakening is slowly spreading around Iraq.

Cuffy Meigs has a little more context and video of a victory parade down Ramadi’s once war-torn main street. It’s almost surreal to think that less than two years ago Ramadi was the most dangerous city in Iraq, if not the entire world.
