This week, in Kansas, voter suppression was leaving the exact Democrat that Democrats elected on the ballot.
Kansas Republicans just invented a new form of voter suppression http://t.co/NyzodKLkar

Note: Politico's @burgessev managed to portray GOP as obstructionist even when GOP votes *for* Dem's 1A repeal bill. #hacktastic

In the words of President Obama, words matter, especially when you can change them to suit your ever-changing needs with a willing press behind your efforts.
And, lest I be accused of the same blind spots these guys have, let me offer the other side of the “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” coin:
On Monday afternoon Outnumbered cohost Andrea Tantaros wondered “where the president was” with regard to the video that emerged today showing Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice punching out his then-fiancée Janay Palmer.
“My question is, not to bring it back to politics, but this is a White House that seems to bring up a ‘war on women’ every other week,” Tantaros said. “A White House that is very concerned about the NFL, concussions, et cetera, prescription drugs in locker rooms. I want to know: where is the president on this one?”
I understand what my smart colleague Andrea is saying, and she has a point with respect to suggesting the president’s relative slowness to speak on this issue might indicate something given his quickness to speak on EVERY POP CULTURE AND SPORTS RELATED STORY EVER. She tweeted along those same lines later:
I don't think NFL is any of Obama's business but *he* has made it his biz. Are we to believe he only cares about concussions on the field?

But now the president has said something on this. It was a no-brainer. Hitting women = bad. I care. Done and done. Now, are any of the conservatives who were concerned that he had not spoken about this particular issue any more satisfied now that he has?
I’d like to be in the business of discouraging national politicians from commenting on every daggone thing immediately, and discouraging the American people from the ever-increasing expectation that they should. Encouraging them to talk about everything just makes them think they have expertise and authority to fix everything. There lies ruin.
