Donald Trump announced the launch of a website as a way to stay in touch with his supporters as well as document his legacy. He has been denied accounts on the major social media platforms – Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc. so this seems to be the next logical step. The website, 45Office.com, touts his accomplishments as president and includes a section for Melania Trump. The announcement was issued jointly by the former president and first lady.

The official website of the 45th President of the United States will allow individuals to submit correspondence, scheduling requests, and press inquiries for President and Mrs. Trump. President and Mrs. Trump are continually strengthened by the enduring spirit of the American people, and they look forward to staying in touch.

Trump has been easing back into the public eye lately. Last weekend he delivered a speech during a wedding reception at Mar-a-Lago. He is dressed in a tuxedo and does a quick rundown of problems the Biden administration is improperly handling and asks if everyone misses him yet. The crowd responded enthusiastically about that. He did end his speech by congratulating the newlywed couple.

Classic Trump, right? There was a little bit of grousing about the presidential election results and poking at the Biden administration for being humiliated by Communist Chinese officials in their first official meetings last week. Trump’s not wrong – the Biden administration is acting as though it’s 2009 again. The world has changed and trying to go back to the status quo of the Obama years will not work.

The website includes a statement that Trump intends to remain engaged and active in public life.

One section on the website focuses on the positive points in his legacy as a former president. “These include energy and border security, strengthening NATO and other international alliances, and his response to the coronavirus pandemic.” As you would expect, there is no mention of the impeachment trials or any of the scandals that made the news, manufactured or not.

Melania’s section on the website is shorter but includes her time as a first lady and her work, especially with children. There is no denying that she thoroughly enjoyed her work with children of all ages around the world.

Her section, though shorter than her husband’s, focuses on her journey starting from her upbringing in Slovenia, mentions her ‘proudly’ becoming an American citizen and then moves on to discuss the charity work she carried, focusing on the well-being of children.

Melania’s synopsis also mentioned her time as the First Lady, briefly discussing the international trips she took and the foreign diplomats she met.

It ends by saying she ‘looks forward to continuing her work on behalf of children and the issues she is passionate about’.

Trump fancies himself a kingmaker with Republican candidates and potential candidates. He meets with current lawmakers at Mar-a-Lago and encourages others to run for office. Whether or not he runs again in 2024 is not clear. If I had to bet today, I’d say he won’t run again. As time passes and he settles into private life again he’ll likely be happy playing party elder. On the website there is a function that allows viewers to contact Trump and Melania. The option to book Trump and/or Melania is also provided.

A ‘Share your thoughts’ section presents visitors on the website with an online form to fill out, which can be sent to either Donald or Melania, and says: ‘Donald J. Trump and Melania Trump enjoy hearing from the American people.’

This section allows people to send through their thoughts and opinions.

The former president and his wife can also be booked to make an appearance at events, according to the website.

When applying to book Donald and Melania, you are invited to fill out a number of boxes, including whether or not press will be present and how many guests will be attending the function.

There will be plenty of opportunities for Trump to make headlines with public appearances and headlining private events. The website is a good way for him to remain relevant for the near future and control the narrative of his legacy, too. As long as he continues to live rent-free in the heads of the Trump deranged Democrats, especially Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, he will have a venue to counter their attacks on him and his time in office.
