First Lady Melania Trump checked into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on May 14 for what was described as “an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition.” She remained hospitalized for almost a week before returning to the White House. By all accounts, her procedure was successful and she thanked her well-wishers while still in the hospital.

She has not been seen publicly since her return to the White House, so the press has begun noticing her absence, especially as she chose not to accompany President Trump and some of his family for a weekend at Camp David. The last time she was seen was when she welcomed home the three American detainees held by North Korea with President Trump, Vice-President Pence and Karen Pence at Andrews Air Force Base on May 10. She has however communicated through Twitter. So it was only natural that she responded to the press and their concern.

The ugly left in media and entertainment (but I repeat myself) began speculating that maybe Melania decided to leave her husband and one Brazilian ‘artist’ even made a fake tweet while claiming it was a coded cry for help from the First Lady. Apparently, her actual tweet didn’t sound authentic enough.

Amid all the speculation about her shift from the White House to New York, she herself cleared the air by tweeting out to her followers — but in quite a non-Melania-ish tone. “I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I’m doing. Rest assured, I’m here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!” the tweet read.

Meanwhile, another tweet started doing the rounds online. in which every first letter of, her sentences spelled the word ‘HELP’. Felipe Sobreiro shared it and wrote: “Wait a minute.” His tweet had collected more than 1.3 lakh retweets and 3.3 lakh likes, at the time of writing. However, it was reportedly not an authentic tweet.

Trump Derangement Syndrome carries over to other members of his family. Late night talk show host Conan O’Brien weighed in using a lame reference to former South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford’s lie about hiking the Appalachian Trail while he was really visiting his mistress in South America.

Meanwhile, Melania’s spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, spoke with People magazine and it sounds like the First Lady is doing the kind of work that would be possible from her home as she recovers. The woman lives above the shop, so to speak.

Her spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, told PEOPLE on Tuesday that Mrs. Trump “has been involved in several internal meetings with staff all last week, and that continues this week. We’ve been going over initiatives and other long term planning for events such as the Congressional Picnic and 4th of July.”

With all the news that comes at us every single day lately, it seems to me that this is just another excuse for the unhinged left to trash the president via the First Lady. Melania Trump is a very private person and it doesn’t seem too much to ask that she be allowed to recover from a procedure that required several days of hospitalization. The White House sounds a lot more comfortable to do that than Camp David anyway.
