Update: The man in this post has admitted to making up the story. From Buzzfeed:

On Monday, the Sheridan Police Department told BuzzFeed News in a statement that Witt admitted to making the story up after police confronted him with evidence that the attack never took place.

It turns out this guy bought a knife and cut himself by accident. He then made up the story about the attack. His Facebook post has been deleted.

A man named Joshua Witt was pulling up to Steak and Shake to get a milkshake when he was stabbed by a stranger who shouted something about neo-Nazis.

The New York Post reports:

“All I hear is, ‘Are you one of them neo-Nazis?’ as this dude is swinging a knife up over my car door at me,” he said.

“I threw my hands up and once the knife kind of hit, I dived back into my car and shut the door and watched him run off west, behind my car.

“The dude was actually aiming for my head,” he added.

Witt has no tattoos or anything else that could be mistaken for a neo-Nazi look. In speaking with his friends, they say it must be his haircut. “Apparently, my haircut is considered a neo-Nazi statement,” he told the New York Post.

Back in March, Samantha Bee humiliated herself when she did a segment on “Nazi hair” at CPAC. In the bit, she included video of a cancer patient named Kyle Coddington. After Coddington’s sister complained, Bee apologized.
