In addition the police have one woman and two other individuals in custody who they suspect may have been involved in the shooting. The Chief said they still don’t have a clear motive because the suspects have not been forthcoming yet.

Also this video shows the suspect/person of interest being sought by police. You can see the rifle slung over his shoulder. At least in this brief clip he is standing on the corner watching as the chaos erupts. A police officer on a motorcycle rides right by him (h/t this Twitter user):

Here is a statement the Dallas PD posted on Facebook:
Tonight it appears that two snipers shot ten police officers from elevated positions during the protest/rally. Three officers are deceased, two are in surgery and three are in critical condition.
An intensive search for suspects is currently underway. No suspects are in custody at this time. We ask that any citizen with information regarding the shootings tonight call 214-671-3485.
Update: Dallas Morning News is reporting 4 officers have died, 3 were Dallas PD and one was Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). That seems to be contradicted by what the police chief said so it’s not clear which report is correct at this moment.
Dallas PD released this photo of a suspect/person of interest.
