Are you kidding me?!
American troops coming across the border and taking action in one of our towns, that is Abbottabad, is not acceptable to the people of Pakistan. It is a violation of our sovereignty. It would have been far better if Pakistani special services group had operated and conducted the mission. So to that extent the modality of handling it and executing the operation is not correct.
Musharraf is all over the airwaves today offering opinions about the death of Osama bin Laden. As you can see, he does say he’s glad OBL is dead but then he immediately goes on to complain about the US violating Pakistani sovereignty. He may be technically right, but is this the time or place to raise that complaint?
In fact, given that we just found the world’s #1 terrorist hiding in a resort town in your country, how about some sign of personal or professional shame before you start complaining about the “modality” of the operation. Is that too much to ask?
