Finally: President Kickass sings

As Hitchens once said, for an allegedly great orator, Obama’s oeuvre is awfully thin on memorable lines. This one will live forever, though, partly thanks to the taboo of a president (very mildly) swearing and partly because his bravado is so palpably contrived. It’s pure performance — in which case, why not lay down a beat and auto-tune the shinola out of it? Two clips to cleanse the palate, then, the first of O crooning his alpha-male contempt for BP (the funny stuff’s at the end, so stick with it) and the second of Reason editor Nick Gillespie zeroing in on precisely whose ass it is that needs to be kicked.
