Via Reason, Nathanial Alexander Stuart goes in search of mythical minority participants at last week’s D.C. rally and, whaddaya know, finds them. Frankly, I’m not sure where they fit in the Charles Blow “minstrel show” paradigm. They’re not onstage, so they’re not performers — although I suppose by talking to Stuart on camera, they sort of are, huh? Oh well. Looking forward to next weekend’s New York Times op-ed page to find out which denigrating racial stereotype America’s bien-pensants will lovingly dump on these people. Amos ‘n Andy this time, maybe? Frank Rich, a.k.a. the Voice of Black America, can do better than that, I’m sure.

The money line, of course: “I’m scared of the president because he’s white.”
