Two clips on the theme du jour, one from last night’s Steyn-tastic “Hannity” and the other from this a.m.’s “Fox & Friends.” When you’ve got state governors refusing federal money, House Democrats warning conservatives about buyoffs, 10 Republican attorneys general scrambling to investigate the deal-making, and even bribe-takin’ Ben Nelson suddenly seeing the light about good government, I’d say that Jay Cost’s prediction of a coming Jacksonian moment looks pretty safe. A bill nearly everyone hates + roiling anti-incumbent populist sentiment + loads of sleaze used to grease the wheels for passage = crazy delicious.
