Yet another way in which Dave is like Mark Sanford: Neither one knows when to stop talking.

Audience member Tracy Frye, of Dallas, Texas told RadarOnline.com: “David apologized to his wife and his colleagues at Worldwide Pants. He said he didn’t really think through what he said on-air last week and how it would affect his co-workers.” He also apologized because he now realized that people would speculate he was involved with women on the show with whom he had no sexual relationship.

According to Frye, “He made a direct apology to his wife and said: ‘I have a lot of work to do’. “I think he was being sincere.”

“I think he was being sincere.” So I guess this means the genius PR move of telling the world what he’d done before the papers had published a word of it wasn’t so genius? And if he was going to apologize to his wife publicly, why didn’t he do it last week? All this is going to do is fuel more speculation, that maybe he was messing around more recently than we’ve been led to believe and this is his way of getting out in front of the next set of revelations. Hey, Dave? Shhhhhh.
