MSNBC host: Conservatives willing to see half the country die if it'll hurt Obama

Not the first time that the GOP’s opposition to ObamaCare has been described on MSNBC as driven by wanting people dead. Good work, Ratigan; you’d fit right in at 10 p.m. This is part of the left’s ongoing post-Copenhagen catharsis — see Krugman’s piece today for another shining example — in which six years of treating Bush as some nascent Hitler is washed away in fake outrage at conservatives daring to chuckle at the modern-day Pericles getting stuffed in Denmark. This Politico piece rounds up the theatrics while, naturally, omitting any evidence of hypocrisy. A reminder from Ace: The tool who said this last week —

— is the same lowlife who notoriously said this when American contractors got ambushed and mutilated in Iraq five years ago:

Let the people see what war is like. This isn’t an Xbox game. There are real repercussions to Bush’s folly.

Meanwhile, the left can riddle me this: If conservatives have devolved to an un-American knee-jerk position of opposing Obama on everything, where are all these polls and news stories coming from asserting — quite rightly — that Republicans will be his life raft if he chooses to escalate in Afghanistan? How is it that it’s unpatriotic to laugh about Daley and his cronies not getting to feed from the Olympic trough but it’s not unpatriotic to oppose a war that The One himself has called a “war of necessity” repeatedly?
