Aliens + Red Dawn + Mad Max = crazy delicious? Looks better to me than it did back in December, but something about it still doesn’t sit quite right. I think it’s Bale. Even here, some of his overacting is cringe-inducing. Aside from Shatner and late-period Al Pacino, is there any hammier leading man? I’m going to toss out an idea; don’t react until you’ve really thought it through. A remake of GoodFellas with Pacino in the DeNiro role, Bale in the Liotta part, and Shatner doing his best Joe Pesci. Awesome.
