I confess, I’ve lost the plot on which type of excessive spending during an economic crisis I’m supposed to be mad at and which I’m not. Michael Steele adding a Bowflex machine to his office seems de minimis enough to me as not to be worth commenting on, but not so for Salon. Likewise, The One throwing a St. Paddy’s Day party seems perfectly tolerable, but not so for Drudge. Are there any ground rules for this stuff or is it a simple matter of throwing stones at the other side for not acting appropriately mournful while blue-collar Americans are losing their jobs?

HuffPo has more Steele audio that’s supposedly worth agonizing over, but I have a feeling the reaction to this clip will be partisan.
