My verdict: There’s simply no way he’s going to dare social cons to stay home by picking a pro-choicer. It’s a head fake, but whether it’s a head fake (per John Heilemann’s theory this morning) designed to make evangelicals feel relief when Mitt is named or with an eye to some other purpose, I’ll leave to you to guess.
