The first Medal of Honor recipient of the Afghan war, killed in a firefight with the Taliban that saw two of his three team members die alongside him and then 16 more soldiers, eight of them Navy SEALs, perish when an RPG hit the Chinook that was carrying them to the scene as reinforcements.
