Daily Kos
However, be forewarned: you may be part of a plan to make it look like I’m under siege by the Left.
Step 1: Trollish person writes over-the-top critical diary (in this case, on the Mark Sanford email reading).
Step 2: Lots of defense of your undersigned diarist (thank ye).
Step 3: RW website writes piece quoting this here site: “By Wednesday, even critics on the left said Olbermann had gone too far.”

So does this make Keith Olbermann the de facto head of the Democratic Party?
warrenmr on June 27, 2009 at 2:29 PM
Yeah, Keith, tell ‘em. “No enemies on the Left”.
What a self-important scumbag.
venividivici on June 27, 2009 at 2:30 PM
Okay, even paranoids have enemies.
But they’re still paranoids.
Olbermann’s a crank.
SteveMG on June 27, 2009 at 2:32 PM
a perfect fit for the modern democrats, don’t worry buddy we won’t go undercover to smeer you. I believe isn’t that a tactic of the left anyway, posts and radio calls along the lines I WAS A REPUBLICAN until blah blah Bush Blah Blah. Once again the left projects their true selves onto us.
rob verdi on June 27, 2009 at 2:34 PM
The problem with Olbermann is he is too darn humble.
gash on June 27, 2009 at 2:35 PM
Olberdouche outlined an important rhetorical tactic in new media/old media.
Apparently, it takes one to know one.

I GROW STRONGER!
Keljeck on June 27, 2009 at 2:41 PM
Olbermann: Stop picking on me! You’re being a jerk just like those Republicans. Ow! Quit it! I’m gonna tell!
What a tool!

ROVE, YOU MAGNIFICENT BASTARD!

Good LORD, does this man need to get over himself!
rockmom on June 27, 2009 at 2:44 PM
Isn’t this an admission that his show is really a propaganda program for the political left? It’s not a news show. Hell, it’s not even an opinion show. It’s a political ad for the left.
He’s saying, “If you criticize my show, the regressives will use that criticism against me. And because my show is about promoting the “progressive” against those reactionaries you will weaken or harm my efforts.”
He’s admitting his agenda.
He’s such a hack and a fraud that he doesn’t even pretend anymore.
SteveMG on June 27, 2009 at 2:46 PM
Those foolish kossacks are falling right into my plan.
Yes.
Soon all will know and fear the name… SARAH PALIN.
And it will all be thanks to you! YOU!
Because deep down inside you secretly long for a cold-hearted Republican to lower taxes, brutalize criminals, and rule you like a
kingQueen!Keljeck on June 27, 2009 at 2:46 PM
Olberman still thinks Daily KOS is relevant. That’s pretty sad.
Topsecretk9 on June 27, 2009 at 2:56 PM
I read this about two hours ago. The Kos folks are licking KO’s wounded sanctimonious bathroom brain from their own collective rear ends.
Americannodash on June 27, 2009 at 2:58 PM
Dude… you sounded just like KO in my head when I read that.
Ugly on June 27, 2009 at 3:00 PM
Maybe he should be less concerned about what NewsMax thinks and more concerned about the fact that critics on the left actually DO think he’s gone too far. Bob Somerby might be a douchebag, but he’s been absolutely right on Olbermann being a partisan hack who will stoop to any level in order to smear the “bad guys”, even when the bad guys are as innocuous as a (now-former) beauty queen.
btw… pretty sure his co-workers Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow get busted on Kos all the time for not showing Obama their due fealty. And yet neither of them feel the need to create accounts and defend their honor to the Internet. I wonder why.

Yes and I heard that GE is coming out with a YOU-TUBE video to support my assertion. Bailout funded to boot.
Americannodash on June 27, 2009 at 3:05 PM
When Olbermann says that Fox News is more harmful than the KKK or that Republicans are the “leading terror group in America”, he means it. These are not rhetorical devices to make a point.
He truly does believe in his twisted mind that he’s helping save the Republic from the forces of darkness.
Yes. He. Does.
SteveMG on June 27, 2009 at 3:11 PM
My wish for a future trivial pursuit card:
Which journalist from the now defunct NBC News Organization suffered a severe mental breakdown during the impeachment trials of the 44th President of the United States and is now living out his days in an insane asylum located in Juneau, Alaska.
sherry on June 27, 2009 at 3:17 PM
From a rhetorical standpoint, that Olbermann post has all the flair and function of a 7th grade bathroom conversation: “Ummm, Suzy? Like, Sally said you’re a slut, and like, I know you don’t really like me but, ummm, I thought you should just know what Sally said cuz, like, you might totally hate me but, like, Sally’s even worse than me. Dontcha think?”
It is adolescent in both its tone and diction, laced with “whatever,” the Facebook-style abbreviations of “RW” for right wing, use of the word “stuff,” and folksy syntax like “I ain’t linking to these doggies.”
He’s trying to get what he perceives to be the cool kids to like him, and he’s doing so in the voice of a prepubescent loser who has had his annoying little face shoved in the toilet one too many times. Keith simply never made it out of junior high school — intellectually or socially.
Rational Thought on June 27, 2009 at 3:22 PM
Read the comment section guys. Many of the commenters are still critical of him.
terryannonline on June 27, 2009 at 3:35 PM
I wonder if Keith realizes his own juvenile post is now fodder for many laughs for sites on the right?
Topsecretk9 on June 27, 2009 at 3:44 PM
olbermann is a regular diarist at KOS
Kjeil on June 27, 2009 at 4:43 PM
Good grief, whose plan might that be? Obama may be part of a plan to make it look like we’re being led by an incompetent idiot, too.
ddrintn on June 27, 2009 at 4:46 PM
ROFL…they’re kinda jumpy, aren’t they? Like they’re afraid their own Moby tactics might be used against them…hey…
ddrintn on June 27, 2009 at 4:52 PM
The DKOS poster seem irrational.
Kjeil on June 27, 2009 at 4:53 PM
It’s like they’re fighting over a turd in a litter box. Whoever wins they’re both full of sh!t.
infidel4life on June 27, 2009 at 8:09 PM
Don’t you guys ever read the RULES!?!
#1 Keith Olbermann is always correct.
#2 Anyone who says otherwise is obviously an undercover Rovebot programmed to take unfair advantage of your weak mental faculties.
\sarc off
He really is full of himself. he presumes to have sole ownership of the left’s mystical knowledge. All the rest are mental midgets who desperately need him to tell them what to think.
Whatever happened to “Question authority”
