Any surprise Obama’s plane is Cool City and McCain’s Segregation Central?
All of these sections are separated by curtains, which are always shut as tightly as possible as soon as the plane takes off in order to keep the different sections of the plane from interacting with each other.
Thems some tight curtains! As tight as possible!

Thumbs up for finding one. But what you found is all the same font and all the same color. Now look at the chair again. carbon_footprint on August 4, 2008 at 4:48 AM
Obviously McCain’s button is missing a “for” in front of the “president”, as is the case on the other buttons. A button is worn by supporters, not McCain himself. Thus there’s a distinct difference between that and a chair that the candidate sits in himself…
It’s way beyond “in and off itself”: The “presidential” emblem; the trip to Europe; the faux “autobiography”; the earth cooling and seas receding; the “presidents” seat.
I find it scary. I find him scary. This speaks of a complete disconnect with reality and is indicative of a serious character flaw.
It will be placed in a museum with other messiah artifacts. The people will be required to pilgrimage to the museum yearly all the while producing a zero carbon footprint.

Dude, it’s a logo. Folks, let’s not get paranoid here. McCain uses the same thing. Obama’s chair is embroidered with a logo on it. If he was truly being presumptuous here, why not just put his name with the job title under it? This will get no mileage.
Apples and Oranges with all due respect. An aspiration is one thing, a designation is quite another.
AYNBLAND on August 3, 2008 at 11:43 PM
You can think what you’d like, but he uses the same thing in his ads.
“Barack Obama. President.”
amerpundit on August 3, 2008 at 11:48 PM
What an arrogant prick!
davenp35 on August 3, 2008 at 11:50 PM
I can’t stand BO but I see this as just kind of a sophomorific-type little joke that his people probably did for him to stroke that giant ego. It’s kind of like when you get one of those director’s chairs with your name on it like your some kind of big Hollywood star. I’d say it’s pretty harmless. Much less so than what he actually wants to do if does become the POTUS.
mrsmwp on August 3, 2008 at 11:57 PM
“megalomaniac narcissist” ~ ~ Christopher Hitchens
Mr. H has defined him best, so far.
No, not until Nov. 05, and only if they prove it to me. I’m holding out hope.
Entelechy on August 3, 2008 at 11:58 PM
Wonder if he’s going to be this arrogant when he faces-down anti-American leaders?
Dictator: We’re building nuclear weapons and that final.
BHO: Look, all I’m saying is that we want you to stop. And if you don’t like that then we can change!
Dictator: ummmm, ok.
Claypigeon on August 3, 2008 at 11:58 PM
Personally I’d prefer that he put:
Barack Obama
Messiah
On there. I mean, who cares what a bunch of bitter religious gun nuts think right??
mjk on August 3, 2008 at 11:59 PM
Oh, just as an aside…
I always heard that the back of the plane was the safest. If that is true then why is the big cheese right up front?
mrsmwp on August 3, 2008 at 11:59 PM
Thumbs up for finding one. But what you found is all the same font and all the same color. Now look at the chair again. It is the only chair on the plane like it, we are to assume from the article, and it is his chair. The word President is white (or a much lighter color) and in a different font. As if it were a place setting.
Sorry, we are going to have to disagree on this one, I’m afraid. I think it reeks of presumption.
bnelson44 on August 3, 2008 at 11:59 PM
That’s possible, but jokes are normally transient things. That he uses the chair on a regular basis shows he likes the idea….
bnelson44 on August 4, 2008 at 12:01 AM
I don’t think the font color changes the content, but we’ll just have to agree to disagree. That being said, I need to hit the sack. Night, folks.
amerpundit on August 4, 2008 at 12:02 AM
Good night amerpundit.
To your point on his adds “Barack Obama. President” – soon someone in his camp will make a mistake and introduce him not as “the next president of the U.S.o.A” but rather as the “President of the U.S.o.A”, you watch.
Entelechy on August 4, 2008 at 12:10 AM
Not a single item for sale in the Obama Store has ‘Obama ‘08′, then ‘President’. This was not emulation of an existing design that I can find; it’s a custom job.
michaelo on August 4, 2008 at 12:17 AM
Oh Yeah! I’m sure he does!
mrsmwp on August 4, 2008 at 12:42 AM
I almost think I might vote for that commie bastadge just to show people that communism sucks.
TheSitRep on August 4, 2008 at 12:59 AM
I agree. In fact, I think that does nicely as the constant caption under any Obama post.
INC on August 4, 2008 at 1:01 AM
Hey, I just noticed something. My spell check always underlines misspelled words in red. It includes the word Obama as a misspelling! He’s not in the dictionary! (And I won’t be adding him).
INC on August 4, 2008 at 1:04 AM
What’s the matter with you, TSR. You worry me tonight.
Entelechy on August 4, 2008 at 1:12 AM
What’s the matter with you, TSR? – forgot the question mark.
Entelechy on August 4, 2008 at 1:12 AM
I’m surprised it didn’t have 2008-2018 beneath it.
WisCon on August 4, 2008 at 1:15 AM
I never imagined that a presidential candidate could be so blatantly arrogant as this twit is. Sure, most politicians are quite full of themselves, but most politicians have enough sense to at least try and act modest.
NotCoach on August 4, 2008 at 1:37 AM
It does not matter how us news junkies see it. It only matters how those undecided voters see it. My guess is the average Jane and Joe will see this as arrogant. They will only hear his chair has “President” on it and that will make them all say, “WTF, what an arrogant A$$hole.”
ordi on August 4, 2008 at 1:41 AM
It will not matter that McCain’s button said…..
The meme right now in America is BHO is aggroant, this feeds into that and will cement it even further in the minds of Americans. Fair or not that is what will happen.
ordi on August 4, 2008 at 1:43 AM
Better Still: THE CHOSEN ONE.
Dr. Charles G. Waugh on August 4, 2008 at 2:01 AM
It’s true, the back is thee safest part,, but His Holiness] is up front to save the plane, just in case!
Tony737 on August 4, 2008 at 3:29 AM
I think what some are getting at is that this appears to be a throne.
I bet reporters sniff it when no one is around.
carbon_footprint on August 4, 2008 at 4:48 AM
Obviously McCain’s button is missing a “for” in front of the “president”, as is the case on the other buttons. A button is worn by supporters, not McCain himself. Thus there’s a distinct difference between that and a chair that the candidate sits in himself…
Seixon on August 4, 2008 at 6:03 AM
He doesn’t look like George Washington and he doesn’t have the demeanor of the Great Statesman either.
Zorro on August 4, 2008 at 6:42 AM
Yeah. And I’m sure he goes out and checks the air pressure in the aircraft’s tires, too.
davidk on August 4, 2008 at 7:14 AM
Yes, this is no big deal, of and by itself. But it is part of an overall pattern of arrogance and presumptuousness.
davidk on August 4, 2008 at 7:16 AM
It sounds like a throne, since it was custom designed for only Obama. No ego there.
michaelo on August 4, 2008 at 8:10 AM
I’m just glad he’s frittering his money away on useless crap like that instead of advertisements.
Slublog on August 4, 2008 at 9:02 AM
It’s way beyond “in and off itself”: The “presidential” emblem; the trip to Europe; the faux “autobiography”; the earth cooling and seas receding; the “presidents” seat.
I find it scary. I find him scary. This speaks of a complete disconnect with reality and is indicative of a serious character flaw.
Rod on August 4, 2008 at 9:12 AM
It will be placed in a museum with other messiah artifacts. The people will be required to pilgrimage to the museum yearly all the while producing a zero carbon footprint.
trs on August 4, 2008 at 9:15 AM
It seems like the notion that Obama is a celeb, not a statesman, is starting to take hold even in the MSM. Not a good development for His Highness.
drunyan8315 on August 4, 2008 at 9:23 AM
Nice amenities all around. Except, has anyone see the price of arugula in that cabin lately?
Captain Scarlet on August 4, 2008 at 9:26 AM
This needs to get bumped to the main blog and circulated widely.
Outlander on August 4, 2008 at 9:34 AM
What a total jerk.
Arrogant, presumptuous, conceited.
Unbelievable.
