In Britain on Wednesday, as John wrote yesterday, there was yet another knife attack. It happened in a place called Golders Green, and the victims, both suffering serious injuries, were two Jewish men, 34 and 76 years old.
The assailant was a Somali-born British national named Essa Suleiman, and British police apprehended the rotund attacker at the scene.
A Somali-born British man who allegedly attempted to murder two Jewish men in Golders Green was under the care of mental health services at the time, a court has heard.
Essa Suleiman, 45, was Tasered and arrested by police shortly after a knife attack in the north London suburb on Wednesday morning.
On Friday, Westminster magistrates’ court heard that two men who were wearing traditional Jewish clothing were stabbed during the attack.
Shloime Rand, 34, was knifed in the neck after leaving a synagogue, while 76-year-old Moshe Shine suffered a punctured lung.
Mr Sulieman has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a bladed article in a public place over the attack.

There has been a spate of anti-Semitic attacks on top of abuse being hurled at Jews. It's becoming a commonplace occurrence, especially in the urban areas of the UK. Witness the firebombing in March of ambulances belonging to the Hatzola volunteer group that served the entire community. Responsibility for that targeted attack was claimed by a terror group linked to the Iranian Republican Guard.
Since a terror attack on a synagogue in Manchester in October, where three people were killed, anti-Semitic attacks have been on the upswing, and the Jewish community has felt under constant threat. Add the fact that these two poor men were readily identified as Jewish by their garb when set upon by this foreign-born lunatic, British-raised and the calls for action against this ugly rising tide erupted.

And British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer made all the polite noises he assumed he had to concerning the situation, even as he faced fury from protesters carrying signs 'Keir Starmer, Jew Harmer' and booing his presence.

But this story goes even deeper than attacks on innocent Jews. Because it turns out that this suspect is also charged with an earlier attack that same day against a man in the city of Southwark, and it's said they'd previously known each other through the Somali community.
...Outlining the case in court, prosecutor Emma Harraway said that Mr Sulieman attacked Mr Hussein, a man he knew through the local Somali community but had not seen in a number of years, shortly before 8am on April 29.
The prosecutor alleged that Mr Sulieman attempted to stab Mr Hussein with a 4in kitchen knife after approaching him at his home in Southwark, but that his friend fended off the attack.
It turns out that Suleiman had also just been released from a halfway house used for transitioning people being released after spending years in an NHS 'secure hospital' aka mental health facility.
...The court heard the defendant was staying at an address in south east London which provides supported accommodation to people leaving secure hospital. The area is covered by the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust, which has confirmed he was under the care of their mental health services earlier this week.
Reportedly, his time in a mental institution was thanks solely to his hostile nature and predilection for aggressive knife-wielding against his fellow man.

Suleiman launched a silent savage attack stabbing Sampson repeatedly while also knifing another officer and the dog,

Everyone, quite legitimately, wants to know why the delightful Mr. Suleiman wasn't deported in 2009.
Interestingly enough, it didn't take long for the same shadowy IRGC-backed terror group that barbequed the Jewish ambulances last month, Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia, to claim Mr. Suleiman's knifing rampage.
How the group explains the savage attacking a Muslim first, I don't know, but to them, clearly, any attack on a Jew is a score, and they obviously wanted a piece of it. Most analysts dismiss this as so much opportunistic bluster.
It took just over an hour after the horrific knife attack on two British Jewish people in Golders Green, north London, for an Iran-linked terror group, Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia (HAYI), to make a claim of responsibility on a Telegram channel.
Counter-terror police are aware of the initial posting – a brief statement accompanied by the group’s logo – put online at 12.23pm and a follow-up 40 minutes later showing a violent attack at a bus stop.
However, as inquiries continue, the police are also aware that the 45-year-old man arrested in the street on suspicion of attempted murder has “a history of serious violence and mental health issues”, according to Met chief Mark Rowley.
Investigators add there is no initial evidence of Iranian state direction for the Golders Green attacks and that therefore the statements made by HAYI on social media are most likely to be opportunistic.
Nevertheless, claims of responsibility by HAYI, a new group, have become a feature of a spate of arson and attempted arson attacks targeting the Jewish community over the last month or so in north London.
What the claim does do, however, is shine yet another spotlight on the Islamic problem the UK has. The terror cells are operating, yes. But also the individuals who swing machetes and stab indiscriminately, and they are not slashing fellow Muslims.
They're killing little girls at parties.
Last October, a beloved dogwalker was slaughtered by an Afghan migrant on the sidewalk. A man and a boy were also stabbed in the incident before police managed to subdue the lunatic.

While Mr. Suleiman was an immigrant himself, he came to Britain as a child. And wound up many times being caught with a knife in his hand.

And, since people are going to be angry at a fellow from Somalia named Suleiman who likes to slice people up, it all works so beautifully to villify anyone who speaks out about it, doesn't it?
