He said the suspect had been flown in by the Biden administration post-Afghanistan disaster, and then had his status extended.

He also announced that they're going to be 'reexamining' everyone who came in under the Biden programs, which means for many of them, it will be the FIRST time.

Per Biden's orders.

The president's remarks in full below.

Oh. My. God.

CBS News had it first, and we just heard it on Fox during the Ingraham Angle.

Entered with the friends and Taliban family programs Biden started after his disaster at Kabul, and then overstayed his visa.

The gunman accused of shooting two National Guard members blocks from the White House the day before Thanksgiving is 29-year-old Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal, three law enforcement sources confirmed to Fox News Digital.

Lakanwal, an illegal migrant who entered the U.S. after the withdrawal from Afghanistan, overstayed his visa granted under Operation Allies Welcome, sources said.

Authorities are investigating the shooting as a possible act of international terrorism.

Remember the questions about the vetting at the time, and being told 'shut up, already'?

He used a handgun in the attack. Wonder how he got that?

Suspect in National Guard shooting identified, sources say

Multiple law enforcement officials tell CBS News the suspect in the shooting of the two National Guard members is 29-year-old Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal, who entered the U.S. in 2021.

The suspect used a handgun to carry out the attack, two law enforcement sources told CBS News.

He reportedly waited around the corner for the Guardsmen to come around and shot a female Guard in the chest first, and then shot her in the head with her own weapon.

The Fox News reporter just told Jason Chaffetz they were also stabbed in their heads, both of them.

I'll update as things come out.

UPDATE:

Every last swinging you-know-what in the Biden administration has so much to answer for, damn them.

Details from Mike Davis, usually a pretty reliable source.

...A Major in the National Guard, who was unarmed and doing his spot checks of the guardsmen was in the block, heard the shots and turned to see the shooter who spotted him. He took cover behind a truck.

The suspect came for the Major who pulled out his pocket knife, and bravely took on the suspect who was reloading his revolver.

The Major began stabbing the suspect in the head.

Another guardsman in the area who was armed, them drew his pistol and shot the suspect twice, once in the leg and once in the buttocks.

The Major stated that when the suspect began shooting he heard him shout, Allahu akbar!”

I just briefed [omitted].

Now, you know too.

There’s more: we trying to confirm if the suspect, an Afghan national was an interpreter brought over by Biden, because he has a Department of Defense record. Again, we are trying to confirm.

The suspect has a home address in Washington State.
