An NBC camera crew and reporter were on the National Mall yesterday afternoon, keeping tabs on the situation in the city, when they managed to capture ICE agents in the process of an arrest.
Oh, you know, they thought they had these fascist ruffians now, and they uploaded the film of the dramatic event, with a blood red 'WARNING' that this video contains 'GRAPHIC CONTENT' as fast as they could.
They did make sure it was complete with a translation of the arrest subject's panicked 'screams for help' and protestations that he 'doesn't owe anything,' is not a criminal, and just wants to be with his family. The man on the ground knows exactly where to direct his screams, even as ICE officers are telling him to relax, because he turns towards the film crew every chance he gets to twist his head their way.
You can hear in the reporter's voice that she's terribly shaken.
The reporter also got it up on X expeditiously, along with a note that ICE wouldn't tell her why the man was being arrested.

As you can imagine, this is turning into the viral 'Washington D.C. Man' video now being seen around the world (John reported last evening it was at some four million views), which is what they wanted. A symbol of the out-of-control state of Trump's green-clad, face-masked stormtroopers, randomly thumping, then snatching wailing, innocent, hardworking residents off of major city streets in broad daylight with impunity, and then whisking them away to some dark D.C. basement jail cell formerly occupied by a J6er before chaining them in a swamp tent surrounded by alligators.
The narrative has already been written by a thousand progressive pens - they just needed the video to go with it, and NOW THEY HAD IT.
The only thing missing was a name - who was the blameless, piteous martyr for the churning masses yearning to be free, so brutalized on the streets of our nation's capital?
David Perez-Teofani, an illegal from Mexico.
Ready to carry the flag of fighting oppression, the liberal press roared into action, prepared to defend and expose the dictator's methods...but then was suddenly kind of quiet.
Because what came with the name 'David Perez-Teofani' were arrest records - more than one of them. And probably not for anything, the press is willing to squander what reputation they have left (yeah, right).
Especially since his arrest records are an indictment of a legal system philosophy, which they happen to be pretty fond of championing.
Federal law enforcement agents and DC police on Wednesday tackled and arrested an illegal migrant from Mexico, who was charged with child sex crimes last year, after he tried to run from officers.
Charged with child sex crimes? Why, you might ask, wasn't he in jail already?
This goes to the liberal philosophy so many in the press are so inordinately fond of.
Fairfax County, VA, where he was arrested and charged (raising the hair on the back of your neck yet?), declined to prosecute Mr Perez-Teofani who was, OH, BY THE WAY, on his THIRD illegal tour of the United States.
...“Yes this illegal alien from Mexico was previously arrested in January 2024 in Fairfax County for aggravated sexual assault of a child under 13,” McLaughlin wrote on X, responding to Cho’s viral tweet.
“Glad he is off of Washington DC’s streets,” she added, thanking Trump, DHS Secretary Kriti Noem and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
...DHS also said Perez-Teofani had illegally entered the US three times and defied “a final order of removal” after voluntarily returning to Mexico on two previous occasions.
Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court records viewed by The Post show that Perez-Teofani was arrested and charged in January 2024 with indecent liberties with a child under the age of 15 and aggravated sexual battery.
The charges were later dropped by prosecutors, but it’s unclear why.
Oh, well, monkey's uncle - didn't that let the air out of the outrage balloon.
The NBC reporter did follow up after being embarrassed in the comments on her Xweet, posting both Perez-Teofani's arrest records and a reply she received from the Fairfax DA's office concerning why they chose not to prosecute. The office said 'case notes at the time' indicated the victim and mother did not want to move forward and had stopped answering calls from police and prosecutors, nor did they attend any court proceedings.

'Nolle prossed' charges meant they can still be prosecuted for the child sex assault at a later date, should the family wish to continue.
You will, however, notice what the Fairfax attorney did NOT do. He did NOT turn a three-time border jumping illegal with a removal order in his custody over to federal authorities for that 'removal.'
What a peach, no?
He turned this scummy piece of work back out on the streets.
Uber liberal Fairfax County Commonwealth Attorney Steve Descano has a well-established track record of not prosecuting sex offenses and non-cooperation with immigration enforcement, so there is naturally some skepticism about the circumstances of this case.
When a radical progressive Democrat in a virulently liberal enclave has the Democrats who voted for him calling repeatedly for his head, you know something's truly rotten in Fairfax.
Fortunately for the area, Trump's heightened security posture in the capital managed to identify and remove yet another one of Descano's severe lapses in good judgment.
Sadly for a slavering press, Perez-Teofani is the poster boy for everything Trump has been doing and why, as opposed to the St Jerome they've been so hoping for.
