But I'm figuring we ain't seen nothing yet, because, in eleven or so days, the Democrats and all their rowdy friends are coming to town.

...while allowing his police to be demonized, disobeyed, and disrespected by citizens, the Cook's County DA office, and his administration working as an unrelenting tag team. 

It takes a special brazenness to issue insults and threats to CPD.

This confrontation is a direct result of lawmakers, particularly @ChicagosMayor, declining to back CPD legitimacy in the public square and refusing to demand residents obey Police.

Shoplifting is at a 22-year high, and there's been a 7.8% increase in the violent crime rate since last year, with 339 dead people counted since the beginning of the year.

Ever more community involvement sounds swell. Johnson has had problems communicating with the Democratic Party hierarchy about setting up for the big event. He feels it's his city and should be running the show. They have questions about his abilities and would prefer some competency in execution for event staging...and security.

Into town rolls the Democratic National Convention, trailing their assortment of climate loons, terrorist sympathizers, and anarchy-loving Antifa stormtroopers. No doubt it's going to be a challenge wrangling all the disparate and perpetually unhappy parts.

No one is ever as angry as Democrats. That truism seems to be even more apt now that there's such a split between their radically outright anti-Semitic progressive wing and the twelve people left with civilized bones in their bodies. You would think that Chicago's earlier Palestinian appeasement ceremonies would have tamped down some of the obnoxiousness these Hamas-lovers are prone to.

But, alas, they are planning on protesting and agitating, particularly as Chicago is home to the largest ethnic Palestinian community in the country.

The Palestinian locals, as well as outside Gaza/Hamas organizations, are applying for city permits to protest. Oh, they are busy whipping up the outrageous outrage, having taken exception to the way Harris handled Hamas supporters heckling her at her rally yesterday. They didn't care for her tone, so payback time.

What's going to give the city of Chicago, its befuddled OBE (overcome by events) mayor, and the DNC itself more fuel for the anti-Semitic reputation they are rapidly working overtime to wrap themselves in like a Columbia student in a watermelon flag is the protest permit process.

If you love Hamas and hate Israel, you have a permit in your hand almost as soon as you apply, whatever your group claims to stand for - annihilation of Jews, Gaza, doesn't matter. Natch, your permit staging also allows you to be close to the center of the action.

Here you go - stamped for stomping where everyone and the broadcast cameras can see you.

Not so much if you're just happy Jews who want to rally with friends of Israel. If you're offered something weeks later, it's in a park down by the lake, under the overpass...on the last night of the party.

Here I thought Dems were THE party of "equity."

For several weeks, the City of Chicago has been sitting on a request from a pro-Israel group to hold a solidarity march during the Democratic National Convention, even as it has granted permission for a coalition of pro-Palestinian activists to demonstrate when the proceedings kick off later this month.

The Israeli American Council, a nonprofit organization representing Israeli-Americans that seeks to strengthen ties between the U.S. and Israel, filed two applications with Chicago’s Department of Transportation at the beginning of July, according to Aya Schechter, the group’s chief programming officer.

But with just under two weeks remaining until the convention, the IAC has yet to receive an answer from the city, despite following up via phone and email. 

...For Schechter, the so far unsuccessful effort to secure a desirable permit ahead of the convention, which is expected to draw thousands of anti-Israel protesters, has underscored what she characterized as unbalanced treatment as her group seeks to show support for Israel and the hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.

“It seems like we don’t have equitable access to whatever the other group was approved for,” she said in an interview with Jewish Insider earlier this week, voicing frustration with the city’s delay. “We didn’t get any offer to do a march, not even in an alternative location.”

Last month, a coalition of pro-Palestinian activists planning a so-called “March on the DNC” gained permission for a protest route near the convention — an offer meant to settle a lawsuit accusing the city of First Amendment violations. The coalition, which predicts more than 25,000 participants who could disrupt the convention, has continued to challenge the contours of the proposed route in court, where a judge’s decision is expected to come next week.

Of course, I have a good idea - or two. None of it has to do with the security issues that historically arise from waves of rioting Jewish protesters. We all know there aren't any.

Part of the reticence is they don't want them marching at all - how dare they. We're all seeing that play out repeatedly when it comes to how much the Democrats feed the haters in their party while their elected officials constantly enable the hate in whatever form it takes, giving it legitimacy and legal cover.

But I really think they don't want the visuals of the Democrats' most ardent stormtroopers stomping the crap out of peaceful, cheerful folks flying Israeli and American flags in primetime at their marquee event - their crowning glory and anointed one coronation. None of which happened, mind you, at the convention held by the existential threat to democracy they keep warning everyone about. The RNC lovefest was that, inside and out. 

The last thing the DNC needs in a tight election is fiery but peaceful Chicago visuals to be compared to Milwaukee. I am sure they are cognizant of that. 

But the Dems are terrified of their lunatic fringe. Petrified to the point of being held captive by them.

This convention is already fraught with so much peril from the DNC's regular cast of psychopaths, not to mention the everyday crime in Chicago - man. This is asking for a '68 redux on crack.  The pathetic part is organizers can't think of any other way to prevent it (if they wanted to, and I am uncertain of that) because these minions are out of control. They've already caved to the worst heathens among them with the permitting process here. The same anarchy addicts whom you can be damn sure will arrive loaded for bear and Jew hunting.

What revolting people they are, all of them.

Eleven days.
