Drink Deeply of Al Gore's Bitter Tears

They taste like, well…crap. But VICTORY!! in the romantic sense.

I’m guessing from the tone of his tweet, the big, old to-do in the desert in Dubai didn’t go so well for the rotund carbon-credits grifter.

“…It is deeply offensive to all who have taken this process seriously. There are 24 hours left to show whose side the world is on: the side that wants to protect humanity’s future by kickstarting the orderly phase out of fossil fuels or the side of the petrostates and the leaders of the oil and gas companies that are fueling the historic climate catastrophe. In order to prevent COP28 from being the most embarrassing and dismal failure in 28 years of international climate negotiations, the final text must include clear language on phasing out fossil fuels. Anything else is a massive step backwards from where the world needs to be to truly address the climate crisis and make sure the 1.5°C goal doesn’t die in Dubai.”

“PETROSTATES” PULES THE PETULANT POSEUR

What on on God’s still Green Earth could have turned this dour charlatan any more sour?

Actually, some pretty striking news out of a gathering of private jets and globalist fanatics.

For one things. there’s no mention of doing away with fossil fuels anywhere in the official COP28 wrap-up. That’s kind of wild.

The U.N.’s climate body on Monday published its latest draft text of the deal it hopes to reach at the COP28 summit in Dubai, which includes a range of actions countries could take to reduce emissions.

The list did not refer directly to a phase out of fossil fuels, which was a key demand by the European Union and many developing countries that are especially vulnerable to climate change.

The relevant section of the text said parties recognise “the need for deep, rapid and sustained reductions in GHG (greenhouse gases) emissions and calls upon Parties to take actions that could include, inter alia:

(a) Tripling renewable energy capacity globally and doubling the global average annual rate of energy efficiency improvements by 2030;

(b) Rapidly phasing down unabated coal and limitations on permitting new and unabated coal power generation;…

‘Verge of complete failure’: Climate summit draft drops the mention of fossil fuel phase-out, angering advocates

No bias there.

That had to hurt. No wonder Gore’s in a snit. My friend Jusper took a well deserved shot at the Gorebulence bemoaning COP28’s failure to agree to plunge the entire world into energy deprivation in the name of his African neighbors.

As did Robert Bryce, who points out in this video Roger Pielke’s Iron Law of both Climate Change…

“…It says very simply, when forced to choose between economic growth and action on climate change, policy makers will choose economic growth every time.”

…and his own Iron Law of Electricity…

“…businesses, countries, and industry will do whatever they have to do to get the electricity the need…”

…not to mention sharing what the Ugandan minister of energy had to say in answer to Al Gore’s temper tantrum.

“…It’s like you’re telling Uganda to stay in poverty…”

Al Gore’s days of being a self-appointed and anointed moral authority on anything are over, even before you dig past his bellowing girth into the enormous hypocrisy of the grift machine he’s built selling the end of the world to the gullibles who inhabit the cult. The man is a literal and figurative monster.

And a quick refresher for the younger kids in the crowd on exactly how well Al Gorebal Warming’s doomsday predictions of…

The End of All [IINSERT: something like snow, rain, apple pie] as We Know It Now”

…have done so far.

BUPKISS

Between him and Lurch at these events, the US positively shines, doesn’t it? #JustShootMe

But Gore’s depression isn’t the only upbeat happenings there. Some other terrific news was coming out of the conversation and discussions in Dubai – the fact that nuclear has clawed its way back into damn near respect and recognition.

Wind and solar have had billions upon billions thrown at them and – wind especially – are basically collapsing under their own weight and unmet expectations. This has grudgingly opened eyes to what a blessing those little reactors humming along all this time have been. Nuclear is back out of the shadows and suitable for polite company.

There’s even pressure building on nations that have outlawed further nuclear construction to back off those promises, and get cranking.

All in all, I think that’s a pretty spectacular failure, and we need more of them.

I have faith we’ll get them if we keep the pressure up and refuse to eat the bugs.

We’ll just keep bringing them to tears.
