Well…huh.

I don’t remember it quite like that. In fact, no where, no way was it like that.

POTATUS was up there – whispering, snarling, ranting – issuing sweeping edicts, while threatening the American people who could and were still holding out that, basically, he – Biden – was coming for them and they were murderers.

“…We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin. And your refusal HAS COST ALL OF US…”

And you all have to remember Biden’s push for “The Winter of Illness and Death.” That was a big hit.

At the hearing, the numbers – 84M Americans – that Rep Kiley sited may have been a bit short of the mark compared to what the Biden administration national vax fascists had planned for the country.

President Joe Biden on Thursday issued two executive orders mandating vaccines for federal workers and contractors and announced new requirements for large employers and health care providers that he said would affect around 100 million workers, more than two-thirds of the U.S. workforce.

THAT’S CATEGORICALLY UNTRUE – WE DIDN’T THREATEN ANYONE

Says the head of OSHA.

To paraphrase Bill Clinton, “Depends what your definition of ‘threaten’ is.” Or “untrue,” for that matter.

Fines sound kind of “threaten-y” from the very OSHA who “didn’t threaten anyone” in the new and improved version, yet actually “implemented the REQUIREMENT” in the WayBack Machine.

All employers with 100 or more employees would have to require that their workers be vaccinated or undergo at least weekly Covid-19 testing under a new plan announced by President Biden to curb the spread of the pandemic.

The Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration in the coming weeks plans to issue an emergency temporary standard implementing the new requirement, which will cover 80 million private-sector workers.

The administration said Thursday that businesses that don’t comply can face fines of up to $14,000. On Friday, Jeff Zients, the administration’s Covid-19 coordinator, said the fines would be up to $13,600. (OSHA has a maximum penalty of $13,653 for violations.)

As the old adage says, “threaten-y” flows downhill, especially when it’s spelled OSHA. So what Big Brother Biden was requiring companies to do and threatening them with – fines or worse – if they didn’t whip their employees into line, well…threatened, they started whipping.

Which was Big Brother’s plan. The Left rejoiced.

Yeah. Liberals LOVED it.

…Lawrence O. Gostin, a Georgetown University law professor who specializes in public health, added: “The president’s plan is bold, audacious and unprecedented. But I do think it’s entirely lawful. He’s on extremely strong legal ground.”

Hard-core Democratic toadies even sued to make Biden’s imperial edict the law of the land, regardless of company size. Isn’t that terrific?

Unions. They can be truly wonderful organizations.

WE DIDN’T THREATEN ANYONE

About anything, ever.

…To reinforce masking during travel, the Transportation Security Administration will double fines on travelers who refuse to wear masks.

“If you break the rules, be prepared to pay,” Mr. Biden said. “And by the way, show some respect. The anger you see on television toward flight attendants and others doing their job is wrong, it’s ugly.”

…For executive-branch employees, the beefed-up mandate will likely give workers about 75 days to be fully vaccinated, with limited exceptions such as religious or medical reasons, administration officials said. Employees who don’t comply face progressive disciplinary action.

Some federal agencies had already issued requirements that went beyond the president’s July directive to federal workers to get vaccinated or face regular testing. The Department of Health and Human Services is requiring more than 25,000 of its healthcare workers to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. The Department of Veterans Affairs and the military have also issued mandates.

Oh, come on, now. One person’s “threat” is another’s gentle nudge. Don’t be so sensitive, right?

Especially since we’re rewriting history anyway.

None of this happened. So let’s just let bygones be bygones, LESSONS WERE LEARNED, and we can drop the nastiness you all caused with your damn kicking and screaming.

President Biden months ago stopped requiring people who work or do business with the federal government to get Covid-19 shots. But the legal fight over his vaccine mandates has raged on, with potentially significant consequences for the public-health powers of future presidents.

The Biden administration is seeking to put an end to a number of still-pending lawsuits challenging vaccination rules it issued at the height of the pandemic. It is also seeking to wipe out lower court rulings that rejected some of the mandates as unlawful.

Among the continuing battles, the Supreme Court could decide as soon as next month whether to grant a request from the Justice Department to erase an appeals court ruling upholding an injunction that blocked the president’s order that millions of federal workers be vaccinated against Covid to keep their jobs.

Activists against the pandemic measures aren’t relenting either, as they pursue more definitive pronouncements from the courts against government-mandated vaccination. They are also trying to preserve previous injunctions against the requirements as lasting legal precedent to guard against any return of the vaccine rules.

Take the lawsuits to the bitter end, every last one of them. SCOTUS only stopped the private employers’ mandate – government employees and military members were screwed right up to the moment the requirements expired.

…By the time the Covid national emergency formally ended this spring, the mandates had lost much of their force. The Supreme Court last year blocked the administration’s Covid-19 vaccine-or-testing rules for large private employers. The justices declined to block another mandate covering federally funded healthcare workers, but that requirement ended this year.

Appeals courts dealt setbacks to the president’s mandates for federal employees and contractors, though those cases were never fully resolved. Questions about the rights of religious objectors, raised in lawsuits by U.S. armed service members subjected to vaccine rules, also remain unsettled.

“We never got a definitive statement that the president of the United States lacks the authority to issue vaccine mandates applicable to his own employees,” said James Hodge, an Arizona State University public-health law professor.

PINKIE SWEAR WE WON’T DO IT AGAIN is not a basis for abandoning setting a legal limit on authority.

…Though the Justice Department is still fighting in court for the mandate, it said in legal papers that there is no indication that a similar policy would ever be reimposed.

The administration made a similar argument to dismiss a lawsuit against another controversial pandemic emergency measure, its mask mandate for public transportation.

In April 2022, a federal judge in Florida forbade the administration from requiring travelers in the U.S. to wear masks on airplanes, trains and other forms of mass transit.

In June, however, an Atlanta-based federal appeals court dismissed the case, vacating the judge’s ruling declaring the mask mandate to be unlawful. In doing so, the appeals panel said it couldn’t find “a grain of evidence” that federal authorities intended to reimpose the mask rule.

Lemme repeat – there are zero legal protections in place to prevent this from happening again.

Because I can guaran-damn-tee you, Dems will shape-shift their reality for convenience, and the only thing between their love of mandates and you will be what little law we have left.

You can bet they won’t remember a thing about any of the “never intend to reimpose” anything.

The power trip and fear mongering that feeds it is too delicious to resist.
