Fox fires senior producer for guerilla chyron during Trump speech

I sort of stumbled across this raging controversy last night, and have to admit I was clueless.

What in the wide, wide world of sports was Chadwick Moore talking about?

Well. I’m sorry, but it’s bust a gut funny – as well as being arguably true -and pretty dang b*llsy, to boot.

If you wanted to extinguish your career in Blistering Flames of Rebel Glory, this is the way to do it. *scribbles notes madly*

Two days ago, Trump was about to give his post-arrest speech from his New Jersey golf club, while, simultaneously, POTATUS was barking into a mic. Fox News cut away to cover them both, and THIS is the chyron that viewers turning in for the first 30 seconds read underneath the live feed.

WANNABE DICTATOR SPEAKS AT WHITE HOUSE AFTER HAVING HIS POLITICAL RIVAL ARRESTED

Fox immediately went into a fit of the vapors, issuing a statement that it had been yanked outta there, and “would be addressed.” There is still howling for heads audible in the face of that non-apology for an act which has so shocked and offended the liberal world, while mis-labeling and defaming the kindest, most benevolent, feeliest POTATUS EH-VAH

HOW COULD THEY DO THAT?!

Word came that they’d fired the happy chyron typist just as Tucker dropped the 4th of his Twitter videos yesterday. He hit the guerilla warfare chyron head-on in his opening, saying, “Inside Fox, the women who run the network panicked,” and turned the episode into the theme for the entire video – “WANNABE DICTATOR.”

…Carlson defended the claim made my [sic] McCaskill, and spent the rest of his 13-minute show explaining why he thought Biden was indeed a dictator.

‘But why were they angry? If the banner on Fox was false? Why the hysteria?,’ said Carlson.

‘Lies don’t seem to bother anyone anymore. If some cable news producer had called Joe Biden a genius or accused him of being secretly Sudanese, would anyone be yelling about it? Would Fox News have apologized for it? Probably not.

‘But calling Joe Biden a wannabe dictator, that stung.

…’If Joe Biden ever developed some profound physical or mental condition that was evident to everybody, journalists would say something.

‘This is not North Korea. We don’t have state media here.

‘If Joe Biden was, say, incapable of completing a full sentence, or mistook his sister for his wife, or suddenly started falling down in public for no reason, The New York Times would report on that and get to the bottom of what was actually happening.

…If Joe Biden was a wannabe dictator, he’d have the family to match – all dictators do,’ said Carlson.

The usual Lefty suspects are trying desperately, twisting to make it seem as if both their gloating about the firing and their horror at what he managed to pull off is all part of “concerned head tilts” making sure the public isn’t subjected to “mis-information” LABELING by news organizations. You have to really stretch reaching for that with Joy Reid and Nicole Wallace on air, but no gymnastics is too much to ask of a bought and paid for Democratic operative.

As of this morning, we now know who the guilty-as-sin party was. Not surprisingly, it turns out that Alex McCaskill, a long time producer for Tucker Carlson, is the one who said, “What the hell. Let it rip.”

What a hoot.

Just for Schlitz and giggles, you know what NPR had someone busy typing underneath Donald Trump as he spoke from Bedminster?

…Meanwhile, PBS used the lower third of its screen to post fact-checks when it streamed Trump’s New Jersey speech on its YouTube channel Tuesday night.

The final one was eye-catching:

“Experts warn that inflammatory rhetoric from elected officials or people in power can prompt individual actors to commit acts of violence.”

They haven’t apologized either, although they are conflicted about whether they could possibly “phrase that better.”

Can someone call Biden a wannabe dictator and get away with it?

Hay-yull, no. He doesn’t have STATE media, for starters.

Or so we’re told.
