POTATUS: "I'm honest"

Seems the old boy had a bit of a rough go with his toadies in the press today. Someone didn’t tell them to ask about ice cream.

This is going to be the new “I am not a crook.”

Yech. I can’t even stand listening to his voice, but when crap like that comes out of that mouth, it’s especially nauseating.

I’ll bet he wants to know where the money is – it’s the story of his whole grifting life.

Biden was doing a joint press conference with British Prime minister Rishi Sunak and the temperature of the room got a little warm under the collar for the old charlatan.

…House Republicans, including Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), were preparing a contempt vote for FBI Director Christopher Wray over claims the bureau is covering up “explosive allegations” regarding a Biden family bribery scheme, but Wray allowed the full House Oversight Committee to view the document in question starting Thursday.

“Where’s the money? I’m joking,” Biden responded when asked about Mace’s claims. “It’s a bunch of malarkey.”

After weeks of stalling, FBI Director Christopher Wray finally backed down under threat of a congressional contempt charge…

turning over a whistleblower’s document that was said to be “explosive” and “highly credible.”

…Late Wednesday, Comer accepted an offer from the FBI to let the full committee panel review the document and canceled the committee’s planned Thursday vote to hold Wray in contempt.

“After weeks of refusing to even admit the FD-1023 record exists, the FBI has caved and is now allowing all members of the Oversight and Accountability Committee to review this unclassified record that memorializes a confidential human source’s conversations with a foreign national who claimed to have bribed then-Vice President Joe Biden,” Comer said in a statement following the decision.

The information in the FD-1023 document, according to the whistleblower, reveals “a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose” and details an arrangement that involved an exchange of money for policy decisions.

According to Rep Mace, once they all had a chance to go through the details in the paperwork, the alleged presidential malfeasance turned out to be “worse than has been reported so far.”

That doesn’t bode well at all, but I’ve been through too many iterations of the same song from the scummy Schiff/Swalwell tag team, so I’ll pretend to be mature. I’ll withhold judgement, even though my inclination vis-à-vis anything Biden crime family is to think, “What a surprise.”

Rep Mace, for her part, didn’t find POTATUS song and dance routine amusing.

Man, we need more go-for-the-jugular reps, and they need to follow through with tough action after making tough noises for the cameras (looking at you, Trey Gowdy). I’ve really got my fingers crossed about Comer and Jordan – they’ve been tenacious bulldogs so far. God willing, they can nail these guys.

As for all the POTATUS protestations about not being a crook, there sure were a lot of people looking at the Biden family like they’re crooks.

Oddly enough, they’re still looking.

As Roger Kimbell said in his piece this morning on Chris Christie’s (*SNORT*) “candidacy”, whoever winds up running as the GOP nominee, he won’t be running against Biden. The change in this afternoon’s press conference clearly illustrates what Roger’s talking about – the change in tone is palpable. The Praetorian Guard is beginning to unbuckle their cuirasses.

…Whoever the GOP candidate is, he (and it will be a “he”) will not be facing Joe Biden, who is clearly slated for the the political equivalent of the glue factory. It’s not just the accumulation of scandals plaguing Sleepy Joe, it’s the change in tone from the media and the puppet-masters that tell it what and how to report the news.

If it were the weather we were talking about now, we’d note that it was a summer day when clouds suddenly darkened and the wind picked up and shifted directions. The leaves in the trees are whooshing ominously and the birds battening down. A storm is coming for Biden, and soon. It is too soon to say whether the onslaught will clear the air or leave a muzzy stickiness behind, as storms sometimes do…

Biden’s just playing a crook on TV…for now.
