As the nation waits with bated breath (not really!) for the president’s September jobs speech, it’s helpful to steel ourselves in advance of the hopeful feelings he’ll arouse and remember … We’ve heard it all before. You know what would really be a change of pace? An actual plan — you know, a plan on paper.
But before I get carried away and am too hard on the president (It is an awful lot to ask him to work with the legislature to write his ideas down, I know!), a pause for pity: As Guy Benson relates, the guy has had a horrible, terrible, no good, very bad week — at least where the economy is concerned.
