Trump supporting hackers claim to release NSA archive of some kind

This may fall into the “don’t bite the hand which feeds you” bucket, but a group of President Donald Trump-supporting hackers are claiming to have released an archive of how the NSA hacks various computer systems. CyberScoop.com reported the group tried to previously sell the archive online for 7M in bitcoin, but were only able to get around 9K. Edward Snowden seemed to be pretty interested in what was in the files, suggesting the files could end up leading to a bigger scandal, if they’re legit.

The reason the pro-Trump hacktivists called TheShadowBrokers (a nod to the video game series Mass Effect) decided to release the files? They’re pretty ticked off Trump appears to be going against his base on certain issues. Here’s what they wrote (in KGBeast-like English) on Medium, with expletives cleaned up.

TheShadowBrokers doesn’t want this to be happening to you, Mr. Trump. TheShadowBrokers is wanting to see you succeed. TheShadowBrokers is wanting America to be great again. TheShadowBrokers acknowledging, we don’t be having all the inside information you do, things might look different inside the bubble. TheShadowBrokers is having suggestion. Maybe you be making YouTube video is in order, to be explaining to your voters, your supporters, you didn’t [screw] them all over. Because from theshadowbrokers seat is looking really bad. If you made deal(s) be telling the peoples about them, peoples is appreciating transparency. But what kind of deal can be resulting in chemical weapons used in Syria, Mr. Bannon’s removal from the NSC, US military strike on Syria, and successful vote for SCOTUS without change rules? Mr. Trump whose war are you fighting? Israeli Nationalists’ (Zionist) and Goldman Sachs’ war? Chinese Globalists’ and Goldman Sachs war? Is not looking like you fighting the domestic wars, the movement elected you to be fighting…

Mr. President Trump theshadowbrokers sincerely is hoping you are being the real deal and that you received this as constructive criticism toward #MAGA. Some American’s consider or maybe considering TheShadowBrokers traitors. We disagreeing. We view this as keeping our oath to protect and defend against enemies foreign and domestic. TheShadowBrokers wishes we could be doing more, but revolutions/civil wars taking money, time, and people. TheShadowBrokers has is having little of each as our auction was an apparent failure. Be considering this our form of protest

The group also asks why haven’t search warrants been issued for treason and sedition for, “NYT, Washington Post, Goldman Sacks, Jeff Bezos, and all other Globalist,” while not exactly saying how the aforementioned names are actually guilty of treason and sedition. It should be pointed out to TheShadowBrokers that printing negative stories about the Administration isn’t grounds for treason, but actually covered by the First Amendment and freedom of the press, but I digress.

The entire rant is pretty interesting because it shows the anger some of Trump’s biggest supporters have had since he decided to bomb Syria. A lot of it appears to be from the Alex Jones side of Trump’s supporters, which TheShadowBrokers call his “base.” It’s possible they’re correct in suggesting they’re “the base,” and Trump has decided to “E tu, Brute,” them, but it’s also possible Trump was never really what he claimed to be during the campaign. Trump said in 2012/2013 on his YouTube channel how he was in favor of bombing Syria before the video mysteriously went private, before changing his mind and tweeting the strikes were a bad idea in 2013. The same goes for supporting the awful Trump/Ryancare bill, and going after the Freedom Caucus for making sure the bill didn’t pass. It’s completely possible Trump will be just another example of power-hungry people getting into office to make sure the state rules the lives of everyone in the country

One exit question for TheShadowBrokers: If Trump had kept all his promises, would you have released the alleged NSA database, or would you have kept it secret because Trump was “your guy”? If it’s the former, then great. If it’s the latter, then you’re not better than the mainstream media who held water for the previous administration. The information needed to be made public, regardless of who has the White House and who doesn’t. Americans need know if and when the government is spying on them, so change will hopefully happen and the spying stops. If that change doesn’t happen, then Americans can vote out the politicians who enacted the policy and put in new politicians who will repeal it.
