Look good luck with this, but all it’s likely to do is remind low-information voters to dive into the injury reports. Hell, I’m obligated to be interested in the midterms, and spiritually and professionally edified by their likely outcome, and it just reminds me how much more I like football.

President Obama warned Pennsylvania voters to not be complacent, telling them that getting to the polls is more important than getting ready for next week’s fantasy football matchups.

Obama’s last campaign appearance for Tuesday’s mid-term elections was at a for Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Tom Wolf on Sunday night. The president recounted how low turnout in the 2010 elections that delivered the House to Republicans.

“That was Jim drinking beer and setting up his fantasy football for next week,” Obama said, referencing an imaginary friend of a Democratic supporter who didn’t vote in the 2010 midterms.

Democratic electorate: Wait, there’s an option where I can drink beer and set up my fantasy football? That sounds great!

He went on to misstate the turnout figures for Ukraine, according to ABC’s reporting, which also lists the almost entirely battleground-free list of solid-blue locales in which Obama has been campaigning.
