Will McCormick endorse him? Will Trump? Will Republicans clear the field for him? I’m very curious to hear what Todd Blanche has to say. Usually, AGs steer clear of events like these in order to project independence, but perhaps it doesn’t matter when Dems will accuse him of corruption just for taking the job.
I don't think he's suddenly become a conservative, and the big question that has to be answered is how much Fetterman enjoys being a senator. He might love it and want another term, he might think this sucks and not even wish to run again. If he wants to run again and win reelection, his smartest path is to switch parties, run as a Republican, sew up the nomination, and take his chances in the general. In the primary as a Democrat, I think he'd get killed.
But I don't know where his heart is right now. Half the time, I think he wants to be there, but other times, he acts like he's over it. His desire will probably determine his path and tactics.
