Lefty PolitiFact re-visits Hillary's classified email lies in post-Comey report

The liberals at PolitiFact spend most of their time running interference for Democrats. They use the pretend camouflage of “fact-checking” to make their propaganda seem pure and unassailable.

Considering their vested interest in protecting Democrats with their brand whenever possible, it’s worth noting that even PolitiFact has been forced to acknowledge that Hillary Clinton has been lying since day one about sending and receiving classified emails.

It really is the mother of all lies in the entire Hillary email scam and she’s been asserting a version of the lie since the first day she spoke publicly about the scandal.

During her press conference at the UN (where she only took a handful of questions) she claimed:

“I did not email any classified material to anyone on my email. There is no classified material. So I’m certainly well-aware of the classification requirements and did not send classified material.”

Of course, that’s not true. We’ve all known it’s not true since the first batch of emails were released and the State Department redacted many portions of them due to their sensitive nature. Clinton tried to claim the emails were “retroactively” classified and she changed her claim to the highly nuanced and ripe for parsing:

“I never received or sent any material that was marked classified at the time.”

Watch her entire press conference. Knowing now what we know about her emails it is revealing and beyond enfuriating:

And, of course, we know that is a lie as well. So now here comes PolitiFact:

It’s important to remember that only “a very small number” of her emails, two, were marked classified when they were first sent, and just 110 out of the 30,000 she turned over were classified but unmarked. Evidence seems to indicate that Clinton generally dealt with classified information in an appropriate manner.

But over the course of a year, Clinton and her staff have painted a picture of an email setup where absolutely zero classified information slipped through the cracks, case closed.

We rate this statement False.

Wow. Talk about a tortured statement. You know how it killed them to have to say this. But, this doesn’t let them off the hook, does it?

What about this judgement they rendered in May?

Clinton said, “I have now put out all of my emails.”

Clinton says the half that aren’t available are personal and private. The problem is, it was Clinton and her staff who made that determination. Those emails — more than 30,000 — haven’t been available for public review, and it’s not entirely clear they can be retrieved.

Clinton’s statement is partially accurate but takes things out of context.

We rate it Half True.

It isn’t half true. It’s entirely false. In fact, FBI Director James Comey revealed that “several thousand” government emails were deleted by Clinton and her staff under the false claim they were “personal.” Where is PolitiFact’s judgement now?

But beyond PolitiFact correcting the record now, it’s more important to point out that it’s just too late. They have used their self-anointed “Truth Czar” status to make determinations on political positions based on what they believe to be true and what their favorite candidates happen to be saying. That’s not a “fact check” it’s a con job.
