Anti-free speech thugs physically assaulted American citizens engaged in a peaceful, political assembly Thursday night outside a Donald Trump for President rally in San Jose. And the Hillary-supporting Democrat who serves as mayor of that city blamed Mr. Trump for the violence in his streets.
Of course, most of the stories written about last night’s violence won’t start off with a lead sentence like that, but it’s the absolute truth. And one wonders how long these brown-shirt tactics can continue before a leading voice from the Democratic Party will feel compelled to denounce the mob made up of their supporters.
More on the corrupt, lying mayor in a moment. First, take a look at how ugly it got in San Jose last night.
“Make California Mexico Again!” they chanted while waving Mexican flags.

Did you see that on cable news?
Here’s a Trump supporter sucker-punched in the face by a thug with a Mexican flag:
Anybody catch that moment on CNN or NBC?
Here’s how CNN described Thursday’s scene outside the San Jose Convention Center:
Protesters jumped on cars, pelted Trump supporters with eggs and water balloons, snatched signs, and stole “Make America Great” hats off supporters’ heads before burning them and snapping selfies with the charred remains.
Several people were caught on camera punching Trump supporters.
But here’s how CNN described it in their benign headline:
“Protesters take to the streets…”???? Really? Were these thugs, the romantic revolutionary college kids in Les Miserables? Sorry, CNN, this was hardly a Broadway musical and none of these punks were singing about liberty.
Watch these criminals, while waving a giant Mexican flag, pelt a woman in the face with an egg:

The aftermath of this woman pelted with an egg was disquieting to say the least. Take note of the bully with a bandanna on his face to conceal his identity:

The Mexican triumphalism was on full display with the anti-American mob:

Then the beatings began.

This is awful. Trump supporters are getting beat up on live TV. @Jacobnbc reports cops are only now getting around the protesters.

They turned their violence toward the police as well:

The response from San Jose’s mayor to the violent mobs in his streets?
“Our police officers have done an extremely courageous and professional job so far,” San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo told the Associated Press by phone. “We’re all still holding our breath to see the outcome of this dangerous and explosive situation.”
The mayor, a Democrat and Hillary Clinton supporter, criticized Trump for coming to cities and igniting problems that local police departments have to deal with.
“At some point Donald Trump needs to take responsibility for the irresponsible behavior of his campaign,” Liccardo said.
That’s right. As the Washington Post added in their write-up of the same, outrageous quote:
Many liberals, meanwhile, including the Democratic mayor of San Jose, suggested that Trump angry and divisive rhetoric made him at least partly responsible for the violence at his events.
“At some point Donald Trump needs to take responsibility for the irresponsible behavior of his campaign,” Mayor Sam Liccardo told the Associated Press, praising the city’s police while adding that “we’re all still holding our breath to see the outcome of this dangerous and explosive situation.”
It’s going to be a long, hot summer.
