Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt was a guest on Kasie Hunt's show on CNN on Monday morning. Hunt abruptly shut down the interview as Leavitt was speaking.
When the going gets tough, CNN just shuts things down. Remember, this network and fellow travelers like MSNBC, decided to stop running campaign events held by former President Donald Trump because they claim he lies too much. Yet, they run President Biden's events with no objections. Biden is a serial liar and plagiarizer. That doesn't seem to bother those networks. Fact-checking only goes one way.

That was a year ago, back in June 2023.
Jake Tapper tells CNN control room to cut the feed of Trump in Miami:
— Daily Wire (@realDailyWire) June 13, 2023
"I don’t need to see any more of that. He’s trying to turn it into a spectacle and into a campaign ad. That is enough of that. We’ve seen it already."pic.twitter.com/FmnLXUUPSs
There is lots of hypocrisy around the fact-checking efforts against Trump compared to Lyin' Biden.
LOL when Jake Tapper says it's always "handy" to have Daniel Dale around to fact-check Trump. In this case, Dale is trying to check Trump's opinions, like you CAN't say Biden is behind the Trump prosecutions. But you can say Trump is a Russian agent. https://t.co/lexx5H4bag pic.twitter.com/unFGcWXmcw

We know how this game is played.
I question why Karoline did the interview. We are three days out from the first presidential debate which will be hosted by CNN, with Jake Tapper and Dana Bash chosen as moderators. I guess that is why, to kick off debate week on the network that will host it.
Anchor Kasie Hunt began the interview by asking about Trump's debate prep strategy. Karoline started as you would expect of a spokesperson in the opposition's territory. Then she went in for the kill.
“President Trump is well prepared ahead of Thursday’s debates. Unlike Joe Biden, he doesn’t have to hide away and have his advisors tell him what to say. President Trump knows what he wants to say,” Leavitt started.
The spokeswoman then noted the debate stage would likely be a “hostile environment” for her boss – and accused CNN’s debate moderators, co-hosts Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, of biased coverage of him in the past.
“That’s why President Trump is knowingly going into a hostile environment on this very network on CNN with debate moderators who have made their opinions about him very well-known over the past eight years in their biased coverage of him,” she said.
Much like Trump, Karoline has a take-no-prisoners approach in public speaking. She is not afraid to go on CNN and openly say what others know - Tapper and Bash are not Trump fans. They are quite open about that.
The interview went sideways with Hunt when Karoline dared to bring up Hunt's colleagues, or so Hunt said.
When Leavitt tried to speak up and note that she was “stating facts that your colleagues have said in the past,” Hunt repeatedly drowned her out.
“Ma’am, we’re going to stop right there if you’re going to keep attacking my colleagues,” Hunt said. “I would like to talk about Joe Biden and Donald Trump, who you work for.”
“I’m sorry guys … Karoline thank you very much for your time. You’re welcome to come back at any time,” Hunt suddenly declared.
Good start to debate week on CNN with @kleavittnh being kicked off the air for pointing out Jake Tapper’s history of clear bias against Donald Trump. Welcome to the being kicked off CNN live broadcasts club, Karoline! pic.twitter.com/haUCYU9kpD

And, just like that, the interview was over.
This is CNN.
This is a little taste of how the debate will go for Trump on Thursday night at CNN headquarters in Atlanta. I'm sure Trump is preparing for it. Karoline will be ready afterward to do interviews with the media.
Hunt went on the offense and posted her explanation on X.
You come on my show, you respect my colleagues. Period. I don’t care what side of the aisle you stand on, as my track record clearly shows.

The ratio is strong on that one.
The debate will get good ratings. That is something CNN doesn't see anymore. Viewers know about the truth.
