President Biden is campaigning from his basement, just as he did in 2020. There is a reason for that. 

Biden sat down with CNN's Erin Burnett for a rare one-on-one interview with a major news outlet. CNN's ratings are in the dumpster but it is still considered a major cable news channel. Maybe that is why Team Biden allowed the old man to do the interview - the smallest audience in the biggest cable news biz would see it. The rest of us would just see the video clips they released. 

This interview turned out to be a good example of why Biden isn't doing them - he can't. Joe Biden is not up to the task of delivering honest answers to some basic questions. He is only capable of reciting DNC talking and gaslighting the viewers on his record, along with distorting statements from his opponent, Donald Trump. 

Erin Burnett interviewed Biden in Milwaukee. He was campaigning there. She wasn't as bad as most of the CNN anchors who only do softball interviews with Biden, given the chance, but she could have zeroed in on some whoppers that Biden told.

Biden lied 15 times in the 17-minute interview. That must be some kind of record, even for a fabulist and serial liar like Joe Biden. The interview was a complete disaster for Biden. 

The New York Post did what others did not do - it fact-checked Biden's answers. The NY Post concluded that Biden told a "lie a minute."

"Wednesday’s chat with CNN’s Erin Burnett shows why. In a brief 17 minutes, Biden told 15 lies — nearly a lie a minute," the editorial board wrote. "From whoppers about the economy to prevarications on Israel, Biden spun a fantasyland of a presidency that voters know is false."

Biden's favorite lie to repeat when he is talking about his alleged successes in office is saying he created 15 million jobs. That has been disproved time and time again, yet he persists. The pandemic and its lockdowns caused people to stay home and businesses to close. When the vaccine became available to everyone and businesses began re-opening, those lost jobs came back. People were simply going back to work. Biden tries to take credit for jobs already there. The pandemic created major job losses but that was already beginning to correct itself by the time Biden entered office. 

The truth is that Biden's economic policies when he entered office likely caused the recovery to slow. The economic recovery was beginning but it took until July 2022 for the US economy to regain all the jobs lost due to the pandemic. That's on Biden. 

Along the same lines, Biden likes to say that Trump lost more jobs than he created. He said job losses to that extent had not been seen since Herbert Hoover's administration. It was the pandemic. Job losses would have been the same in a Democrat administration. 

Biden lied about how Trump will handle entitlements like Medicare if he comes back into office. Trump consistently says he will not touch Medicare or Medicaid. 

He lied about the tax rate paid by America's billionaires. Biden said they pay an average rate of 8.3%.

Factcheck.org notes, “The top 0.1% of earners, with more than $4.4 million in expanded cash income, pay an average rate of 25.1% in federal income and payroll taxes.”

Biden continues to blame corporate greed for price increases and the struggles of everyday Americans in trying to make ends meet each month. More than 60% of American households say they live paycheck to paycheck in Biden's America. Biden's economic policies included pumping trillions of dollars in federal spending into the economy. That and increases in minimum wages in states like California meant consumer spending increased but supply chains were not able to keep up with demand. 

Biden lied about inflation, too. He claimed that the interest rate was 9% when he took office. The truth is that in January 2021 the rate of inflation was 1.4%. Biden's reckless and excessive spending was a major factor in that. 

The president said that people have the money in their pockets to pay for increases in everyday living, they are just mad about the increases. Really? That is insulting. Why are the little people complaining? They have the money. Scranton Joe is hopelessly out of touch. 

According to Bankrate, 76% of adults making less than $50,000 a year are living from paycheck to paycheck, an increase from 71% the year before that.

Biden need only watch the nightly news to see people cutting back on groceries, gas — even trips to McDonald’s — because their spending power has decreased.

He threw Israel under the bus as he claimed that Israel targets civilian populations. He was repeating Hamas propaganda with impunity. The leader of the free world sides with an internationally recognized terrorist group instead of our only true ally in the region, Israel. Everything is all about his re-election and holding on to power. Denying munitions to Israel as they begin to go into Rafah is disgraceful. Much of the shipment was to be of precision munition that prevents civilian deaths. Israel goes out of its way to protect innocent civilians. Hamas hides among women and children. Hamas hides its weapons in schools and hospitals. Hamas is a culture of death, even of its own people. 

Biden said he warned Netanyahu to not "make the mistakes" the United States made in Afghanistan and Iraq. The problem with that is Biden voted for both of those wars. Did he forget? 

He lamely said Americans can't only "love your country when you win." Someone get Hillary Clinton and Stacey Abrams on the phone. There are numerous Democrats on the record denying election results when Republicans win. 

Biden claims Trump will raise taxes. Biden is on record bragging he will do that if he wins re-election, not Trump. 

It's alarming that Biden lies about everything, all the time. He has a very long record in office and his claims are easily fact-checked. He's a Democrat president, though, so few bother to check. Wait until Trump is back in the White House. Suddenly everyone will be a fact checker again.
