Small City in Wisconsin Begs Biden for Help With Migrants

December was recorded as the highest single month for illegal immigration. More than 302,000 people were reported crossing the southern border in December.

Whitewater, Wisconsin is a small city that finds itself dealing with both illegal aliens and legal immigrants. About 1,000 immigrants have come in since 2022. In the 2020 census, the city’s population was 14,889. So,1,000 immigrants may not sound like a big number to some but for a city the size of Whitewater, it’s a game-changer.

The legal and illegal immigrants are coming to Whitewater and causing issues with housing and crime, for example. City leaders prepared a letter for Joe Biden that says they have seen a “rapid increase in the population of immigrants arriving from Nicaragua and Venezuela.”

“Each individual has a different reason for coming here; some are fleeing from a corrupt government, others are simply looking for a better opportunity to prosper. Regardless of the individual situations, these people need resources like anyone else, and their arrival has put great strain on our existing resources,” the letter, led by Police Chief Dan Meyer, states, according to Wisconsin Radio Network.

“As a municipal government, our focus is not on legal status, but rather ensuring we are providing the resources expected of a municipality to all residents of the City. Unfortunately, we are increasingly finding it difficult to do that,” the letter adds.

The letter may shed a little light on the problem. It refers to a disregard for legal status. It sounds like rhetoric used by sanctuary cities. Illegal aliens are not stupid. They receive information through social media and know where they may be welcomed, at least where they would have been welcomed before the Biden border crisis overwhelmed every area of the country.

In the letter, city leaders said that police are finding obstacles with communication, transportation, housing, and identification. They acknowledge that there are three times the number of unlicensed drivers on the road. Some illegal aliens are living in “terrible” conditions, too. There is a trust barrier between illegal aliens and city staff that leads to false documentation and “misleading” staff. Is it a surprise, though, that illegal aliens who came across the southern border illegally are providing bogus documentation and lying to city officials? They should not be given the benefit of the doubt on anything.

Why is it a surprise that crime has increased in the community? Law enforcement in Whitewater links serious crimes to the immigrants, including the death of an infant, multiple sexual assaults, and a kidnapping.

Despite all the fall-out from the Biden border crisis, the city leaders said, “We see great value in the increasing diversity that this group brings to our community.” Their pitch is for more federal money. This makes little Whitewater, Wisconsin no better than any sanctuary city. Instead of admitting that “diversity” brings its own set of problems when it comes to matters of immigration, they double down and say all is well, we just need more federal (taxpayer) money. Talk about burying their heads in the sand. They can’t face the fact that not everyone entering the country shares American values. Many come here with no inclination to assimilate, as immigrants in the past desired to do. Many do not wish to become Americans. They are here to earn money and go home.

Communities across the country are waking up to the fact that Biden’s border crisis is intentional. He wants to “transform” the country, city by city. There are illegal aliens in all Congressional districts now. This is all by Biden’s design. This should not be a surprise to anyone who has been paying attention to the chaos at the southern border.
