A major alert has gone out to Border Patrol agents working along the U.S.-Mexico border. They are being warned to use extreme caution as they go about their duties.

Along the Arizona/Mexico border, a gunfight broke out. It is believed to have been a battle between cartels for control of an open spot in the border wall. The Mexican military found 10 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) at the border, on the Mexican side of the border. A federal law-enforcement source shared an internal officer safety alert dated December 13 with FOX Business Network. It warns CBP agents to be vigilant.

The IEDs were found by Mexican authorities after Tucson border patrol observed gunshots at the U.S.-Mexico border and a Tucson supervisory border patrol agent arrested an armed person on the U.S. side who had a loaded AK-47 rifle, two loaded AK magazines, loose rounds, and a handgun.

CBP is warning its agents to “exercise extreme caution and should report any possible armed subjects approaching the border with possible explosive devices,” according to the memo.

A gap in the border fence at a ranch is typically used to smuggle drugs through. The gap is a magnet now for cartels who smuggle humans. The gangs are fighting for control.

There is real concern over what is happening at the border when it comes to potential terrorism. We know more names than ever before are turning up on the terror watch list at the border. Those are just the ones apprehended. What about the million gotaways? They aren’t vetted at all. They disappear into the interior of our country to roam as they please. It defies logic to think that our luck can last much longer before something horrible happens.

Last September Border Patrol agents discovered backpacks filled with ammunition and homemade explosive devices near Fronton, Texas.

In mid-October a cautionary bulletin for CBP agents from the San Diego Field Office Intelligence Unit warned that “individuals inspired by or reacting to, the current Israel-Hamas conflict may attempt to travel to or from the area of hostilities in the Middle East via circuitous transit across the Southwest border” and foreign fighters “motivated by ideology or mercenary soldiers of fortune may attempt to obfuscate travel to or from the US to or from countries in the Middle East through Mexico.”

Republicans have to hold firm in the negotiations for more support at the southern border. The situation continues to deteriorate. As long as Joe Biden is in office, the border will remain wide open. He just doesn’t care.
