What a small world. The great-aunt of little Abigail Edan is an art patron of Hunter Biden and a presidential appointee.
Is that a coincidence or were strings pulled? The very first American citizen released by Hamas has a connection to the Biden family. That fact has not been disclosed in any of the media reports of Abigail’s release. Wouldn’t you think that an honest and transparent media and the Biden administration should make that connection public knowledge?
I was surprised to read about the connection in a post from the editor-at-large for Real Clear Investigations and a Senior Contributor at The Federalist. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have made the connection and I’m willing to bet that most people haven’t connected these dots, either. It may be absolutely nothing at all. I just find the connection unusual.
So you're telling me that the great-aunt of the youngest American hostage — and first American — to be released by Hamas is a buyer of Hunter Biden's art, who was then appointed by Joe Biden to the U.S. Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad?

The swap of hostages for jihadists is likely to prove disastrous for Israel.
What this little girl endured and will endure for the rest of her life is unthinkable — as is the case for all the hostages and their families.

H/T @BiancaDLGarza who raised this connection during today's episode of "Newsline"

It was a wonderful moment when it was announced that little Abigail would be released by Hamas in a hostage/prisoner swap. She spent her fourth birthday in captivity. Her story is gut-wrenching. She saw Hamas animals murder her parents. She died in her father’s arms as he protected her from the bullets. She was taken from the home of neighbors that she ran to for shelter. Her friend and classmate lived in that house. Hamas took them.
Biden was under pressure due to the fact that no Americans were released in the first release of hostages. Israeli, Thai, and Filipino hostages were released, but no Americans. Apparently, the Thai hostages were released after a phone call to Iran by that country’s officials. That was a poke in the eye to Joe Biden and an example of his weakness on the world stage. His administration has made billions of dollars available to the Iranians and continues to pursue a deal about nuclear proliferation. Iran controls Hamas. Iran wants Americans to be held for leverage.
A Russian-Israeli citizen was released. His name was on a list put together by Mad Vlad Putin of Russian citizens he wanted to be released.
I’m thrilled Abigail has reunited with her siblings who were able to hide from Hamas on October 7. She has been reunited with other family members, too. She’s an adorable little girl.
Abigail’s great-aunt, Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali, purchased artwork from Hunter Biden. Hunter Biden learned the identity of two of his art patrons, though the White House assured us he would not know who purchases his art, and she was one of the two. She has deep ties to the Democrat Party and has visited the White House many times. She and her family make financial contributions to Democrat candidates a family affair
Hirsh Naftali donated to Joe Biden. In the post I wrote, I used a quote from a Business Insider article.
In July 2022, eight months after Hunter Biden’s first art opening, Joe Biden announced Hirsh Naftali’s appointment to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad. It is unclear whether Hirsh’s purchase of Hunter Biden’s artwork occurred before or after that appointment. Membership on the commission is an unpaid position that is often filled by campaign donors, family members, and political allies — the same crowd that often winds up with US ambassadorial appointments. Hirsh Naftali’s fundraising activities mark her as the kind of well-connected donor who often wins such appointments, regardless of any relationship they might have with the president’s family. But they do not address the possibility that Hunter Biden might have voiced his support for her appointment.
The timeline is not clear on the purchase of Hunter’s art and the appointment of Hirsh Natali to a commission seat she wanted. Wealthy political donors often receive plum nominations.
She was an advocate for little Abigail and other hostages in the media. She was doing what she could to keep the story in the press. No one would expect less. I find it curious that there is no mention of Hirsh Natali’s connection to the Biden family in interviews now, at least not in the ones I have read.
I’ll tell you, if I had connections in the White House and I had a little one dear to me in a hostage situation, I would do all I could to use those connections for the child’s release. Biden is running for re-election. He needs lots of political donations. It just isn’t a good look for a lack of transparency now. The reach of the Biden family corruption grows, it seems. This connection was an eye-opener and it should be disclosed. This story is a good example of why the ethics of Hunter Biden’s artwork sales while Joe Biden is president were questioned in the first place. Joe Biden has mentioned his work to get the hostages released in press briefings. He pats himself on the back. We need more transparency.
