The news is not good from the southern border. Initial data for September shows that over 260,000 illegal aliens were encountered. This is the highest number in a single month ever recorded.

Joe Biden must be so pleased with himself. He truly is transforming America, isn’t he? Who knew transforming America meant dissolving the southern border and allowing people with no hopes of legally claiming asylum, with the current immigration laws on the books, to remain in our country while the process plays out? 99.9% of the people illegally crossing the border are coming here for economic opportunity. That is not a legal reason for an asylum claim.

A country without a border is no longer a sovereign country.

The Biden border crisis is a humanitarian crisis and a national security crisis. The initial data for the month of September from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is extremely alarming. An all-time high for a monthly total was reached – the number is 260,000. The CBP report is not out yet but sources say that the previous record from last December has been broken.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources tell Fox News that total migrant encounters for September have exceeded 260,000, which is the highest monthly total ever recorded. That number includes both Border Patrol encounters between ports of entry and Office of Field Operations (OFO) encounters at ports.

The record had previously been set last December, where officials encountered 252,320 migrants. Numbers lowered in 2023, and officials had pointed to a drop in May after the end of Title 42 as a sign its policies were working.

Joe Biden and his minions love to point to alleged accomplishments and describe them as historic. How about this one? This is certainly a historic achievement by the Biden administration. It’s the highest monthly total ever recorded. Unfreakingbelievable. Every month officials say this amount of illegal aliens is unsustainable. Yet, here we are. We’ve reached a new high. There is no indication that anything will change with next month’s report. Or the next. Or the next. This is life in Joe Biden’s America.

In some areas, the number of illegal aliens arriving is between 10,000 and 11,000 each day. Every day. Border communities are turning them out on the streets because there is no shelter for them. They are overrun as it is.

There is no funding for the border in the stop-gap bill signed by Biden late last night, just an hour or so before a government shutdown. So, for the next 45 days, they cannot expect additional help and support on the border.

For comparison, there are numbers from CBP : 2,206,039 FY 2023 YTD, 2,378,944 FY 2022, 1,734,686 FY 2021, and 458,088 FY 2020. One indication of the national security threat at the southern border is how China is taking advantage of the porous border. These are the numbers of Chinese illegal aliens: 20,273 FY 2023 YTD, 2,176 FY 2022, 450 FY 2021, and 1,768 FY 2020. Illegal aliens are coming from all over the world, and that means from countries that wish ill towards the United States.

What are the latest actions by the Biden administration to handle the border crisis? They will accelerate the processing of work authorizations, and they decided to re-designate and extend Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuela. Offering work permits quickly and increasing the number of Venezuelan illegal aliens doesn’t help the situation. It acts as a magnet that will lead to even more people crossing the border. This is all intentional.

The news is dismal. I wish there was something positive to write about this subject but there is not. Whatever the Biden administration has in mind to justify putting our country at risk will not play well with voters in 2024. Biden may think he is bringing in future Democrat voters or workers to “pick the crops”, as Nancy Pelosi said, but this has to stop. Will it take an act by terrorists before the reality causes action? It’s not a far-fetched thought to have.
