The Biden border crisis has emboldened illegal aliens to the point where they now feel perfectly entitled to plant the flag of their homeland on Texas soil. On Monday, illegal aliens from Venezuela planted their country’s flag on a small island in the Rio Grand River. Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) quickly responded.

It’s a slap in the face for those breaking in to our country to make such an arrogant move. It shows they have no respect for the country in which they hope to live. They just want to come here, illegally or not, and get a job, make money, and send it back to their country. Joe Biden is happy to allow them to do that, though employment is not a legal reason for asylum. Joe Biden is giving work permits to almost 500,000 Venezuelans already in America. These Venezuelans trying to claim a small island in the Rio Grande River caused several DPS officers on airboats to take that flag down. Don’t mess with Texas.

Members of DPS took the flag down. This is just another aspect of the increase in illegal aliens flooding across the southern border.

Last Wednesday alone, an estimated 3,000 migrants crossed the Rio Grande near Eagle Pass, and between 800 and 1,000 migrants were apprehended Friday, Salinas said. Thousands had crossed earlier in the week.

In response, the U.S. Defense Department sent an additional 800 active-duty troops to the border.

Several thousand Texas National Guard and DPS personnel also are stationed along the border under Gov. Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star. As part of the effort, the soldiers and troopers have strung razor wire along the U.S. side of the Rio Grande and installed a 1,000-foot-long barrier of massive buoys and netting in the middle of the river near Eagle Pass.

Many of those crossing the Rio Grande are Venezuelans fleeing dictatorship and economic collapse in their homeland.

The most infuriating part of the Biden border crisis is that the Biden administration knew it was coming and just let it happen.

Even with advanced knowledge of a migrant build-up on the Mexican side of the border, the Biden administration has done little to alleviate what Eagle Pass, Texas, mayor Rolando Salinas, a Democrat, calls a “crisis.” Eagle Pass declared a state of emergency this month after 5,000 migrants crossed over the border into the town.

Instead, Biden has placed blame for the state of the southern border on the Republican Party. “MAGA Republicans in Congress and my predecessor spent four years gutting the immigration system,” Biden said Thursday in an address to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.

Joe Biden does not know how to be president. He and his administration are always on defense in bad situations, never offense. There is no such thing as planning in this administration – they just wait and let things happen before responding. I’ve never seen anything like it. The only thing Biden knows how to do is blame Republicans for his failures. Remember when he used to say he was going to unify the country? Good times, good times.

Venezuela will not be allowed to claim any land in Texas by planting its flag on Texas soil. There have been six flags over Texas. Venezuela isn’t going to be the seventh, even if DPS and Texans have to stop it alone.
