Lindsey Graham booed during Trump's campaign rally in Summerville, SC - UPDATE

Donald Trump held a campaign rally in Summerville, S.C., close to Ground Zero for the Nikki Haley and Tim Scott campaigns. He told the audience that he got Nikki Haley “out of here” so that Henry McMaster could be governor. He referenced when he appointed Nikki as United States ambassador to the United Nations.

Trump is back on the campaign trail. He was in Iowa over the weekend. He’s been in New Hampshire. He has made several trips to South Carolina as he works the early primary states. He has Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) with him today. She posted a photo on X when Trump purchased a gun – a Glock with his face on it.

Some people remember Trump’s sometimes iffy Second Amendment support.

Trump kept addressing MTG as he spoke, saying things like, “Right, Marjorie?” The frequency in which he did it was a little odd. She is definitely trying to be chosen as his vice president. Is she just traveling with him on the campaign trail now?

The craziest of all to me is the booing going on when Senator Graham’s name is mentioned at Trump rallies. I don’t get it. Yes, Graham showed his frustration with Trump on January 6 but Trump seems to have gotten over it. Graham is over it. During one campaign rally in July in South Carolina, Trump was called a traitor by the audience. Trump discourages audience boos but does tell his audiences that Graham is good for getting liberals to vote on Trump’s agenda. It’s a weird thing to say, given Democrats’ hatred of Trump. Graham is loyal to Trump – he’s proven he just can’t quit him.

Trump jumped from subject to subject, as he does during speeches. Trump promised to end Biden’s speed limit regulation on boats on his first day back in the White House. He called for the other Republican candidates to drop out of the primary now. And, he criticized the first RNC debate for having low ratings. It may have not had as strong of ratings as some past RNC debates but it was more talked about than the Trump softball interview with Tucker.

He is still calling Hillary Clinton “beautiful Hillary”, which is off-putting. She was dragging him over the weekend on the Jen Psaki show on MSNBC and here he is calling her beautiful now that he calls Biden corrupt. Oh well.

Trump has new endorsements by officials in South Carolina. Most of the state’s top officials have endorsed him over Haley or Scott.

Thirteen additional endorsements for Trump were rolled out in the Palmetto State, including Attorney General Alan Wilson, Secretary of State Mark Hammond, and House Majority Leader Davey Hiott. The former president already enjoys the endorsements of Gov. Henry McMaster (R-SC), Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Treasurer Curtis Loftis, Speaker Murrell Smith, and Republican Reps. Joe Wilson, William Timmons, and Russell Fry.

The campaign also announced new endorsements from state Reps. Bill Sandifer, Val Guest Jr., Kevin Hardee, Randy Ligon, Phillip Lowe, Robby Robbins, Jay West, David Vaughan, Jay Jordan, and Cody Mitchell.

I’m looking forward to the RNC debate this week. I’ll be watching to see if any of the candidates have a break-out moment that night.

UPDATE: And, just like that, it comes out that Trump did not purchase that Glock.
