“Enough is enough,” said Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick on FNC this morning. That’s the feeling of most people who follow what is going on at the southern border or live along the border. The situation continues to go from bad to worse and Title 42 hasn’t ended yet. That happens in eight days.

Patrick said that he considers the Biden border crisis to be an impeachable offense. While saying he doesn’t take the word lightly, his point is that the crisis at the border is due to a dereliction of duty. DHS Secretary Mayorkas is scheduled to be in El Paso today to observe the situation on the ground and to speak with Border Patrol agents and local officials.

Chief of the U.S Border Patrol Raul Ortiz tweeted out some brutal statistics.

The migrants who are illegally crossing over the border know that it is wide open, despite what Mayorkas and others in the Biden administration say.

Salem Media radio host Hugh Hewitt asks, “What is Joe Biden doing?” Good question. The answer seems to be very little to nothing.

Patrick isn’t the only politician who calls the Biden border crisis an impeachable offense. A little more than a year ago, Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) argued that not only should Biden be impeached but also Mayorkas.

We should be supporting all of Texas. We’re getting the shaft. While this president refuses to do his job, unconstitutionally by the way, an impeachable offense to not faithfully execute the laws of the United States. We should be helping the ranchers, helping the counties that are burying dead migrants to the tune of ten thousand dollars a body, helping the schools, helping the hospitals. Why? Because we’re not doing our job to secure the border, Texas is getting stuck because this president refuses to actually secure the border, endangering Texans’ lives and endangering migrants in the process. They know what they’re doing.

And for this reason, Mayorkas should be impeached. He came before the United States Senate, and he said he didn’t even know how many got-aways there were. He basically lied to the American people. Of course, he knows how many got-aways there are. They don’t care. And because they don’t care, they should be impeached for it.

Patrick has called the flood of illegal immigration an invasion, and an invasion of illegal drugs. State officials and Border Patrol are bracing for the end of Title 42. The Biden administration wants more than $3B to prepare for what happens when Title 42 goes away.

Three senior DHS officials familiar with the planning say DHS sent a request for billions to the White House’s Office of Management and Budget. A source familiar with the matter said the White House has now asked Congress for more than $3 billion. The money comes on top of the president’s budget requests as part of a fiscal year 2023 technical assistance package.

Republicans have been reluctant to approve additional funding for the Democratic administration’s border efforts, saying they want the border secured before more money is spent.

In a statement, a White House spokesperson said, “If Republicans in Congress are serious about border security, they would ensure that the men and women of the Department of Homeland Security have the resources they need to secure our border and build a safe, orderly, and humane immigration system.”

Funny how this administration continues to try and blame Republicans for the Biden border crisis. Democrats have been in total control for two years. It is their job to bring forward whatever immigration plan the administration says it has. It is also essential that the laws on the books are enforced, which has not happened since Biden took office. Why in the world should Republicans trust this administration to do their jobs now when they have not do so yet? No more money until they do the most basic of their responsibilities – secure the southern border.

About the impeachment thing – as much as I want Joe Biden out of office, if he was impeached, we’d be stuck with Kamala. She’s not any better than Biden on anything, certainly not the southern border. Neither one of them will even travel to the Rio Grande Valley and see what is going on for themselves. Kamala made one quick trip to El Paso which was just a photo op with Mayorkas in tow. She did a short press conference on the tarmac and then she was off to who-knows-where. It wasn’t the border. She never got within miles of it.

Let’s face it, Joe Biden won’t be impeached. So, impeach Mayorkas. He’s just doing Biden’s bidding but them’s the breaks. Mayorkas lies to the American people each and every time he insists that the border is closed. He lied to Congress about that. Mayorkas can be replaced. Republican senators have warned him that he may be impeached. Kevin McCarthy has called on Mayorkas to resign or be impeached. If he still refuses to do his job, he should resign. I think no matter who is in the job, though, will have their hands tied. Biden doesn’t care. The Biden border crisis is intentional.
