Biden bribes voters with promise to codify Roe v Wade if Democrats hold control of Congress

There is an abundance of crises challenging the Biden administration, mostly due to Biden’s policy decisions, yet to hear Sleepy Joe speak, you would think that the most important matter of all is abortion. On Tuesday, Biden said the very first bill he will send to Congress in January is one to codify Roe v Wade. He made the promise as he spoke at Howard University in downtown Washington, D.C.

Biden spoke there to rally the black college students to get out and vote on November 8 so that Democrats can hold control of Congress. There is nothing Biden wants more than to keep all the power he has now. So, he bribed the audience by saying that if everyone gets out and votes, there will be enough Democrats in Congress to codify Roe v Wade. With all the things on the mind of voters, Joe Biden and Democrats only have the Supreme Court ruling on Dobbs to talk about. Abortion is the top issue for Democrats running for office while inflation is the top issue for voters. November 8 is going to be a rude awakening for Democrats. Biden knows the shellacking his party is about to receive and he’s desperately trying to scare voters into going to the polls. When all else fails, he bribes voters. This time it was with signing a bill to codify Roe v Wade. Democrats demand nothing less than abortion without any restrictions at all. That includes Joe Biden, devout Catholic.

In his speech at Howard University, a historically black college in downtown Washington D.C., Biden painted a bleak picture of women’s rights under a GOP-controlled Congress, warning that in addition to abortion rights, women could lose access to birth control and medication for other illness that could cause a risk of miscarriage.

And he repeated his call for Congress to codify Roe vs. Wade, which was overturned by the Supreme Court in June, into law.

‘The only sure way to stop these extremists laws that are put in jeopardy women’s health and rights is for Congress to pass a law. And I’ve said it before – the court got Roe right nearly 50 years ago and I believe Congress should codify Roe once and for all. Right now, we’re short a handful of votes,’ he said.

He even broke out his creepy whisper voice while making that promise.

There is a real divide between pro-abortion people and pro-life people. The former see nothing wrong with abortion right up until the moment of delivery. Yet Biden wants voters to believe that it is pro-life people who are the extremists. There is no common ground for people like Joe Biden.

In his campaign speech, Biden said, ‘Congressional Republicans are doubling down on their extreme positions.”

He warned they would enact a national ban on abortion. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has already introduced such legislation, which won’t pass in the current Democratically-controlled Congress.

‘If Republicans get their way with a national ban, it won’t matter where you live in America. So let me be very clear. Such a bill were to pass in the next several years. I’ll veto it,’ Biden said, lowering his voice to a whisper to emphasize his words.

He knows Democrats have lost the House and in November, maybe the Senate, too. Voters consistently say that their top two issues are inflation and crime. Yet, Biden went to a college and concentrated on abortion. It’s those damn Republicans getting in his way. In a new NYT/Siena College poll released Monday, the economy led abortion by 21 points, inflation came next, then the state of democracy. Abortion and immigration were further down the list. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris devote time in their campaign speeches to trash Republicans over abortion. Jill Biden has begun doing the same. When they aren’t saying MAGA Republicans, they are saying extremist Republicans.

During the past week, at several different events, she described helping a friend recover from an abortion that took place pre-Roe. vs. Wade and slammed ‘extremist Republicans’ for wanting to take women ‘back to that time.’

The first lady talked in detail about how she helped a friend recover from the procedure in the 1960s, before an abortion was made legal, and she used the story to target Republicans who are pushing anti-abortion laws.

Biden said her friend, who became pregnant as a teenager in the late 1960s, could not get an abortion unless she underwent a psychiatric evaluation and a doctor deemed her mentally unfit.

The first lady, who was 17 at the time, lived in Pennsylvania where abortion was illegal.

‘To end the pregnancy, she told me that her only recourse was to undergo a psychiatric evaluation that would declare her mentally unfit before the doctor would perform the procedure,’ she said.

She didn’t identify the friend.

She described going to see her friend in the hospital and said that she ‘cried the whole drive home.’

She also slammed Republicans for pushing state laws that would restrict abortion access.

‘Extremist Republicans are passing state laws that prevent women from getting the health care they need,’ she said.

Joe was right on message (teleprompter) Tuesday at Howard University. It’s really all the Democrats have. They’ve overplayed their hand and voters are shifting away from them. The most impressive number I’ve seen is the remarkable shift toward Republicans by Independent women, despite the abortion fear-mongering from Democrats.

Republicans made massive gains with independent women in recent weeks as Democrats ramped up their messaging on abortion ahead of the midterm elections.

Forty-nine percent of voters plan to vote for the Republican nominee to represent their House district while 45 percent said they’d back their Democratic opponent, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll released Monday. Of particular note was a 32 point swing among independent women toward the GOP. In September’s iteration of the poll, Democrats boasted a 14 point lead among that demographic, but by October, Republicans held an 18 point advantage.

That’s a gamechanger in this election cycle. Pass the popcorn.
