What is it anyway with all the secret taping going on in the Trump circle? Now it is being reported that former Trump staffer and Apprentice contestant, Omarosa Manigault-Newman possesses her own secret Trump tapes and has leveraged them into a book deal. According to sources who have listened to the tapes, they contain the voice of President Trump in everyday type of conversations with Omarosa.

No matter what the content of the secret tapes, this is a huge betrayal of trust and Omarosa should be shamed for her conduct, not rewarded with a lucrative book deal. I can only imagine the reaction of the president, a man who expects complete loyalty from those in the White House. (The Daily Beast)

One person confirmed to The Daily Beast they had heard at least one of her recordings featuring President Trump. Multiple sources familiar with the so-called “Omarosa tapes” described the recorded conversations between Trump and Manigault as anodyne, everyday chatter, but said they did appear to feature Trump’s voice, either over the phone or in-person.

Did I mention that the title of her book is “Unhinged”? Her opinion is that Trump is an unstable, unhinged old man in mental decline. She seems nice.

The reality TV star-turned White House official-turned reality TV star again promises the book will provide a candid and revealing look at her time inside the Trump administration. Part of the book documents what she describes as Trump’s “mental decline.” The president, she claims, “rambled. He spoke gibberish. He contradicted himself from one sentence to the next.”

Omarosa claims she worked alongside First Daughter and Presidential Adviser Ivanka Trump to rid the West Wing of leakers and Anthony Scarramucci was in charge of firing the leakers. So, she is now leaking about leakers in order to capitalize on a book deal. Brilliant. This is some first-level grifting right here.  (The Daily Beast)

Manigault herself was ostensibly so fixated on helping to root out the anti-Trump “leakers,” but has now turned around to dish potentially damaging information to the president in her “tell-all”—and the irony is not lost on her former colleagues.

Omarosa parlayed her White House days into a spot on the reality show Celebrity Big Brother and that angered President Trump. She was less than kind in her remarks about both the president and the vice-president. I suppose none of her actions now will be much of a surprise to President Trump.

Newman has previously discussed her time in the administration on the public when she appeared on the reality show “Celebrity Big Brother” earlier in the year. She described the administration as “so bad” on the show and insisted she would not vote for Mr. Trump again “in a million years.” She also insulted Vice President Pence, saying that Americans would be “begging” for Mr. Trump if Pence became president.

She probably feels she has nothing to lose by burning bridges now, after the way she was fired and unceremoniously escorted out of the White House.  The book deal is reported to be for seven figures so the potential fireworks are no doubt factored into the release when it happens. She can laugh all the way to the bank.
