Vice President Mike Pence appeared on Laura Ingraham’s radio show today where he was asked about a couple tweets Julian Assange sent out earlier in the day. The tweets suggested that Hillary Clinton and “two IC officials” were pushing for a Pence takeover. Presumably that’s a takeover of the White House though nothing in the tweets suggests how that would happen.
Clinton stated privately this month that she is quietly pushing for a Pence takeover. She stated that Pence is predictable hence defeatable.

Two IC officials close to Pence stated privately this month that they are planning on a Pence takeover. Did not state if Pence agrees.

Pence told Ingraham, “I would find all of that dialogue to be absurd and frankly offensive.” He continued, “It is the greatest honor of my life to serve shoulder-to-shoulder with the 45th President of the United States and to see his leadership every day, to see the compassion that he has for the American people every day.
“I would dismiss that out of hand and tell you that I just…I’m so excited about the progress that we’ve been made strengthening this country, protecting this country, reviving this country’s economy and all credit goes to President Donald Trump.”
So, to sum up, Assange is claiming Hillary Clinton and people within the Intelligence Community are planning a coup to install Mike Pence, all so Democrats can defeat him in 2020. Assange offered no evidence for any of this. He didn’t even suggest there are documents somewhere out there to back this up.
As it stands, this is garbage. The only question this ought to raise is why Assange is now looking to drive a wedge between VP Pence and President Trump. I don’t have an answer for that beyond the obvious one: Assange uses his position to attack anyone who he perceives as an enemy. That was true of Hillary Clinton and he spent the primaries trying to damage her campaign. But it’s also true of Mike Pence who recently told Bret Baier that the administration would investigate and prosecute everyone involved in the CIA leaks:
