Speaking at a Las Vegas finance conference Thursday, former House Speaker John Boehner said he believes Donald Trump can win the election. The AP reports:
Boehner says the billionaire businessman is the presumptive Republican nominee for president — “whether people like it or not.”
[…]
“Anyone who thinks Donald Trump can’t win — just watch.”
Boehner also had some comments for Hillary Clinton, suggesting she may need to withdraw from the race:

There was also this set up by interviewer Steve Rattner:
Rattner: Are you getting $225,000 to speak from @GoldmanSachs. Boehner: No, No, I'm not. But I'm doing alright. #SALT2016

He also took a shot at Elizabeth Warren:

But Boehner seems to have saved his most pointed jabs for Ted Cruz:

As for retirement, Boehner says he’s glad to be out of the chaos:
Boehner, in closing: "Every day I read the news, I'm remind of how happy I am that I'm not in the chaos." #SALT2016
