Brutal Border Crisis Ad to Air During Debate

I doubt many people expect the liberal moderators at the debate to hit Joe Biden with any tough or uncomfortable questions. It would be shocking indeed if they brought up the subject of the army of criminal illegal aliens that have been allowed into the country and the growing trail of women and children who have been assaulted, raped, and even murdered by them. (I would be very pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong about this, but I'm not getting my hopes up.) But that doesn't mean that the message won't get out to the huge portion of the American public expected to tune in this evening. The nonprofit group Building America's Future has produced an advertisement profiling the murders of Laken Riley and others, along with the migrants accused of committing those crimes. And the blame is correctly placed directly on Joe Biden's shoulders and his disastrous policies. (NY Post)

An advertisement blaming recent high-profile murders of American women on President Biden’s border policies will be broadcast twice to swing-state viewers during CNN’s Thursday night debate, the year’s first, between the incumbent and former President Donald Trump.

Building America’s Future, a conservative nonprofit, tweeted the one-minute ad Wednesday with the caption “Joe Biden’s open border — a nightmare for American women. #SayHerName.”

“It just keeps happening. Laken Riley wasn’t the first, and in Joe Biden’s America, sadly she won’t be the last,” says the ad’s female narrator. The spot features foreboding music and bold red letters as it flashes headlines across the screen.

Building America's Future posted the ad on social media. You can watch it below. Be sure to have the volume turned on. While horrifying and brutal, it looks like an incredibly effective ad and a vast audience should see it if it's allowed to be aired.

But will America be allowed to see the ad during the debate? That's the big question at this point because CNN has a bit of a history in this regard. Prior to Biden's last State of the Union address, Building America's Future had produced a similar ad focusing on Laken Riley. They claim that CNN refused to air the ad during the address. Would they dare to do it again, despite this being one of the most frequently discussed stories in the country? I certainly wouldn't put it past them. I won't be able to personally verify it because the ad is only scheduled to run in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. That's a smart investment of resources because those are the swing states where Trump needs to ensure Biden doesn't prevail again.

Even if the advertisement is allowed to run, it will be far more informative to see if the subject of illegal migrants and these crimes is brought up by the moderators. Presidential debates are supposed to cover the pressing issues of the day, and there are few issues more pressing than this one. CNN has an opportunity to prove many of us wrong and demonstrate that they are once again an organization worthy of America's trust. They should be asking both candidates challenging questions and giving them the opportunity to make their case to the public. It's bad enough that they eliminated a live audience and will be cutting off microphones to limit any interactions between Biden and Trump. But if they purposefully avoid talking about the border, the migrant crisis, crime rates, inflation, and the wars breaking out around the world, this will not be seen as a debate. It will come off as a thinly disguised campaign advertisement for the Democrats.

Even if this new advertisement isn't aired on CNN during the debate, it will be aired on other channels at other times. Also, the advertising buy is being expanded to mobile billboards and outdoor video displays like the ones you see in Times Square. The word is getting out there beyond the confines of the audience that watches Fox News. And despite their best efforts, there is nothing that CNN and MSNBC News can do to stop it. I would venture to predict that you'll be hearing the closing message from this new advertisement more and more often over the summer. Say her name, Joe. Her blood is on your hands.
